I think Miller is a very good goalie I was just throwing it out there Miller for Luongo. - SABRES 89
Miller is more then capable to get the job done if the team in front of him is , as well.
just my 2 cents. |

I know your passionate about hating MIller... but it is when Miller feels pressure.. and a huge challenge that he is at his best. I think that Lindy putting this season square on his shoulders is going to motivate Miller to the extreme. I think there will be a few bumps and softies in the first few games.. but in the long run... IT IS TIME! - JVince11
I think Miller is better under pressure then Luongo, just threw out the trade proposal to see what some thought. |

I don't know a ton about the Red Wings roster... but...
I would trade Miller with 1.5 years remaining for Jimmy Howard+ or for Hiller+ from Anaheim. Cheaper.. longer.. and has shown equal skill. All of them have their criticisms.
I would even trade him to Chicago at this point. a goalie can be masked by talent in front of him.. but a defense cannot rely on a goalie to win every game 1-0 and 2-1 like the Sabres rely on Miller. If he is going to be paid what he is.. and cannot win 1-0 and 2-1 games consistently then that money should be turned else where. |

Crap goalie for a crap goalie . It would give us someone new to hate on. Don't think it makes the team any better. But someone new to hate would be a welcome .

c'mon.. you are more grown up than that... anyone could throw out a few games where a goalie was burned up.. patrick roy has given up 8+ goals in games before and so Brodeur.
Anyone can turn around and throw out hte box scores to a bunch of shutouts or great wins... West Coast trip last year with 3 straight shutouts.. or even that when Miller is in the playoffs he has 4 shutouts in the last two appearances.. maybe it was 3? |

I don't hate the guy
Just can't remember when he won a playoff series
the ranger series but that was a long time ago
seems that aside from that one game vs the flyers, in the series (4?), he comes out blah when the team needs him the most.
He will go on a few great runs here and there, like that west coast trip after the all star game, but then it goes away far too often.
I don't think he needs to be that on, but keep the jets and leafs down to 2 or 3 goals so they can win those games instead of forcing this core to score 6 |

i agree with what you say. he is not a stonewall by any means. Everyone wants him to play Vezina level more consistently.
The only problem I have with everyone looking at box scores is that we all know Lindy's system relies on him getting shelled late in games when we have a 1 or 2 goal lead. They leave him out to dry. As soon as Buf has a goal lead in any game they just dump and chase and hope Miller can carry them to a 1-0, 2-1, or 2-0 lead. Buffalo even has the least ENGs in the NHL over the course of the last 5 years I believe. FINISH.

Now Miller is crap goalie?
Since when ?
I mean if you want to say he is a crap goalie because of his contract then that is a different story but to just say the guy is a crap goalie you lose all credibilty with a statement like that. - BuffaloHardHat
Miller CAN be a good goalie. So can Lou. To me they are the same . My opinion we will see the same average goalie that we have seen in the past . If he has a stellar year? good for him . about F'n time . |

i dont think he always stands up when he is pressured... sometimes he folds. He can stand up and take control but he can also crawl into his shell..
The first few games will be telling, and with the long layoff i am a bit nervous. I think it is good that Enroth has been playing as much as he has because we may need to rely on him till miller gets it back |

I wish there was a state for one goal games won because i would imagine Miller would be pretty high.
Miller is paid to be an elite goalie which he would be in any other system than Ruff's. |

I didn't think game 7 was even close to his fault. Pominville, and Connolly went out and the Flyers had us on our heels that game |

the other thing with him is the sabres are down 2 goals
they score to get within 1 goal
then miller lets in that weak goal to lose all of the momentum
He was a much better goalie for a team rolling 3 lines then the current shell Lindy uses.
Open it up and only when you have a 3 goal lead should they go into a shell |

Miller was at practice every day with the LA Kings team basically doing drills, defending shots, and doing scrimmages. Just like Biron was with the Sabres every day.
It is not like he was eating chicken wings.. but he wasn't playing overseas either at game speed. |

games 3 and 4 were ones we should have had
game 6 if ruff opened it up a bit
unless miller stood on his head, no chance of them winning game 7 and I did not expect a win once the flyers scored in ot of game 6 |

Yup... that is why fans watch.. coaches coach.. and players play. There is basically only one team that is happy with their coaching staff at the end of a season.
