They\\\'ve kept him on the roster despite the cap hit the past two years. That probably doesn\\\'t change, unless an immediate need for his cap space arises.

He's going to sign an 8 year extension as soon as the Stanley Cup final ends

Random thoughts: Last offseason, I wanted nothing to do with Jay Bouwmeester but now, with all the injuries & uncertainty on the blueline as well as the provision that would allow Calgary to pay some of his cap hit, I\'d be more than willing to strike up a deal for him. Calgary is looking to compete this year so his price might be a little steep but I expect Homer to at least kick the tires.

I expect so. I\'m definitely nervous about Kurtis Foster after Bill described him as being \"Derian Hatcher with two bad knees slow\".

Probably won\'t be as slow as Kubina was. That guy was painful to watch last year. Hopefully he performs well in limited minutes as a stop gap until Meszaros/Gustafsson come back from injury.

Philly media never ceases to amaze me... There\'s literally about 2-3 dman that could fill the void Prongs has left.

Right now, it sounds like he\'s almost a carbon copy of Kubina in his Flyers\' stint. Hopefully he can be at least a little more effective.

He's slower than Kubina. My biggest problem with adding Foster is that they have 4 or 5 guys that are big and slow.

I recall Eklund tweeting that they're moving servers. He said that's why the main page was loading wrong, I assume now the apostrophes have fallen victim.

Any chance Foster beats out Gervais for the 6th spot? I'm assuming it's Gervais' to lose, and it's tough to lose a spot in 6 days of practice.

As soon as I saw the 'server maintenance' screen yesterday, I knew the site would get fouled up.

It seems to have spread to posters, as well.

Kubina was injured unfortunately. Or he would have been a nice addition for the rest of last Season.
