coincidence that it was a contract year....? - LetsGoIsles
Of course captain obvious. Was still good to see if this team ever made the damn playoffs maybe it'd be a factor? |

hahaha....this is hockey not a kumbaya. its business. for whatever reason everyone assumed he would sign with the red wings, without realizing that a team could pick him up off of waivers...isles playing by the rules, they looked fine. - LetsGoIsles

I'm guessing that as far as Snow is concerned, the knowing Wishart isn't any good outweighs the not knowing anything about Finley, at this point. That said, at that size, this boy had better bury some people, or you can float that driftwood right back out to sea.... - dcb1
Oilers picked up Mark Fistric from Dallas for a 3rd round pick. He's young (26) left-handed, big (6' 2", 233), a defensive defenseman. I have no idea how good this guy is but is this not a move Garth could have made? |

I'll take this guy over Radek. This is not even an all-star but someone that may be able to help. |

oh my god yes!
We were evil for grabbing a guy off waivers, that was only signing with the wings because he wanted a shot at the cup.. we didnt do anything wrong claiming him, we didnt break any laws, but yes we looked like the wrong ones in the whole situation
XxNYIxX - XxNYIxX
The laughing will continue for as long as Garth is the GM and we play to half-filled arenas.
Another perfect example - Fistric traded for a 3rd round pick and FA Jim Vandermeer signed by Canucks - both better, more experienced Dmen than Finley but Garth can't pull a trade so he will jus continue to troll the waiver wire and fill holes accordingly. You can't build a wining team through draft and waiver pick ups only. The pattern continues. Just as Cappy is an inferior coach, his boss is an inferior GM and everyone knows it. |

This is the type of move Garth should be in on. It's not a blockbuster move but it shows you are at least trying to fill holes. Isles have to do better than troll the waiver wire and signing guys like Radek. |

Mon 2:41 pm: They keep piling it on!!! Add to the free admission of the scrimmage and free parking and $1 hot dogs & sodas a 25% discount in the team store!
What else you need???
Dee,
Here's what I need:
1. A new owner;
2. A new GM not a backup goalie who sucked when he was a player.
3. An NHL coach not some loser AHL coach...
4. Just move to Brooklyn...screw Nassau County...they screwed us for the past 10 years...if not longer;
4. A power forward who plays RW. Someone who can score and can play with Tavares and Moulson...think Clark Gillies...
5. A top 4 defenceman who has played in the NHL
6. A #2 center so Neilsen can be the 3rd line center...if it's Strome so be it...let him play...
7. A reliable Goaltender...give Poulin or Neilsen a chance...
I think that's all for now...but if I miss anything we'll let you know.... |

I back this message 100%. This team goes no where as long as Garth and Cappy are here. |

Snow is clueless...check Gallof's tweet below:
per local Rochester paper, waiver clause MIGHT give Sabres 1st right to get Finley back if #isles try to send to Bridgeport in 30days

Could not agree more. These little discounts mean nothing. Improve the team on the ice and everything else will take care of itself. |

Yeah, I'm guessing the "we have plenty of money if I wanted to spend it" line is BS, needless to say- I can't imagine Snow COULD NOT have made a similar trade based on value, although the Oilers' pick is at least likely to be comparable to ours. Like I said before, the thing Wang needs to understand is that once he gets to Brooklyn, the "Newsday-only" coverage, and the hiding behind the "we play in a high school gym" and "we are a small market team" nonsense won't work quite the way it used to. The hope we have to hold onto until then is that our kids pan out, and can develop in anonymity, without any pressure. Once they start dropping the puck in New York City, there's going to have to be real improvement, or else he'll take the same beating every other New York owner does. |

As per Snow we now have the prospects to pull off a nice trade and get some players. So far well nothing has been done |

Exactly right. I wrote the other day Snow and Wang are going to milk acting like a minor league operation until the move to Brooklyn. The party will be over once the team is in Brooklyn. Nap time is almost over for Charles and Garth. They are probably upset the lockout is over and they have to pretend to work. |
