I guess you would need to add Reinhardt and Strome...so it would take Okposo, Strome, Reinhardt and a #1 for Yandle...still interested? - kear20
You never have the right to complain about Snow\'s ability to be GM.. Never. |

True..my apologies...Snow is the greatest GM the Islanders ever had. When the Islanders don\'t make the playoffs this year, it will be the sixth season without a playoff appearance. He\'s doing a great job...I think Wang should give him an extension. When they interview (or kiss his ass) Wang, he start with saying \"we have a young team\"...after Tavares how are we young...if they send Strome and Reinhardt back to juniors we\'ll be as old as last year...team is a joke... |

If you are going to give all of the picks away, you should be sorry. Don\'t throw rocks at me, you were giving the farm away for Yandle. |

Not throwing rocks at you...just frusrated on how this team is run. These prospects they pick outside of Tavares and Hamonic are never ready...so if you\'re not going to pick the right prospects then just trade them away... |

The Isles could not afford his bonuses, let alone his salary. Wang would have a cardiac ..... hey maybe you are on to somthing. - bixll
His cap hit is 7.5.. .but he is only making 5.5.. correct? I have a weird feeling this whole (we are going to sit him all year) is just a ploy. Isles will take on his absurd contract.. if they get something else in return. Like a few picks.. especially if then need that to get to cap floor (Vis doesn\'t show what happens with his contract does it count?) This is the type of crap Wang likes. They are already 10 mill less on actual money than what cap number says. |

I know it is frustrating, but it is not an exact science. You draft the players that dominate in Jr, and you hope. Really all you can do. |

I agree with Martin\'s take on this. But you can\'t just trade Visnovsky away. You can\'t do it. I don\'t care what type of \"distraction\" he is. You can\'t reward Visnovsky by giving him exactly what he wants, which is to not play here. If they do, the isles will be getting this type of nonsense from veterans forever.
In all fairness, I don\'t know how much affect the visnovsky \"distraction\" will cause. It\'s not as if the team is on the precipice of a cup run. It\'s not like its Crosby holding out. As much as it sucks, the isles must play hardball here and guys like Martin know it and likely respect that. - Jethro09

I don't think the picks are the problem. Some of our highly touted picks we have not playing in the NHL are Nino, Strome, Reinhardt, Anders Lee, Cizikas and Nelson...throw in Poulin and Anders Nielsen (I know, there are others too) if you want. The jury is out on all of them. These are all potentially very good NHL'ers, and none should be expected to be contributing to their potential yet. They are all very young. The issue with the way this organization is run is the inability to sprinkle in key veterans to help the rebuild process along. We all know there are many reasons why this is a problem, and hopefully with the stability of the franchise, those things will work themselves out. Arena issues, franchise stabilty in question, the NHL lockout and other factors have stalled the rebuild. Not an excuse, but it's reality. Why the F is there a backslash every time there's an apostrophe on this site today?? |

Call the Isles at 1800 882 4753 ext 3, mention "social media group discount" and you can reserve tickets for the Saturday game 1/19.
You dont know the row but you order the section you want (They will call you back with the row and seat numbers if you request). Pick up at the Will-call window.
I did this, got tickets in section 305 for $35 bucks a piece. Guaranteed not to be last 5 rows, not a bad deal for the home opener. Guy said they aren't even close to being sold out, alot of tickets remain.
Here is what you could get if your interested (not sure why they are not going public with this)
$25 a seat for anything in the 300's where they defend twice (excluding last 5 rows)
$37 a seat for anything in the 300's where they shoot twice (excluding last 5 rows)
$42 a seat for anthing in the 100's or 200' where they defend twice
- My prices may be off by a few $$ but you get the point |

there is no DP thing...
I dont hate the Guy for being picked first rather then 5th
I do not hate the guy for signing a contract
I do not hate the guy for trying to honor that contract & play
I will not hate the guy for this team letting him play
none of this is his fault, but he is blamed for all of it & then some.
Now.. do I want him off the team.. YES..
The Healing.. Its just not gonna happen
The productive starter is just not in the cards for him
the reliable back up isnt either
Until he is released, bought out, traded or retires, as long as they are going to give him a roster spot, I am going to hope for the best for the guy.
