"And despite the denial from Toronto Maple Leafs COO and president Tom Anselmi, I believe the last straw was Burke’s reluctance to trade for star Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo.

That’s a sentiment shared by several NHL team execs we talked to Wednesday, who believe the rest of the Leafs' front office is pro-Luongo, but Burke wasn’t sold on him. "

Looks like Burke didnt want to pay the price on Luongo, but ownership did. Can't wait for them to trade for him so you can cry about it.

Must be why McKenzie said that both of them didn't want to pay the price the Canucks are asking for.

Glad to see your conversion to Canucks fan is complete. Good to know you are happy to see the Leafs overpay for something they don't need.

You done yet? You already lost. Burke didnt want to pay the price for Lu. Ownership wants to.

If we acquire Lu, you'll be the first one to cry. And it will be hilarious.

You realize that ALL things analysts say are speculation...

What won't be speculation soon however, is when the leafs overpay for Luongo, and make it obvious that Burke was the only one standing in the way.

But you're as predictable as I've seen on here...and I've already formulated your argument: "it's only speculation that burke didn't want Luongo"

Contradiction at it's finest.

You say it's all speculation but then say it's obvious Burke was the only one standing in the way based on what? Based on speculation.

Well done.

I'm willing to concede that its speculation.

As long as you agree to concede that ANYTHING bob mackenzie and darren dregger say is speculation.

Agreed?

He's just overcome with glee that the Leafs are about to make a huge mistake. He just really can't wait to see the Canucks unload Luongo for an overpayment.

And therefore you have no leg to stand on when you say things like "Burke was the only thing stopping them from getting Luongo".

I have just as much leg to stand on as you do....

The only difference is, I know it's just speculation. You however are either too blind, or stupid to realize it.

And what makes the situation even more amusing, is that if and when Luongo is traded to Toronto, your fundamental argument will be centred around speculation.

It's hilarious conversing with you circles....there's just no end to your ignorance.

Which Lebrun speculates. Unless he has a time machine he used to travel forward in time, to an alternate universe and came back with that information.

But I'm sure you would believe that too.
