We both know that wont happen, regardless of Lou
Knowing Nonis, he'll trade a first for the rights to Getzlaf or Perry.
P.S They wont sign - Whiskey-Tango I'd offer a first for Perry, but not until next years draft. |

I thought Nucks fans would be happy to just get rid of him. - woopstash
I'm genuinely surprised, not by the fans ridiculous trade demands, but that Gillis would seem to paying attention to those... thinking he's going to hit a home run in terms of return for Luongo. With that contract, particularly its duration how can he really expect to get much in return.
But with that said, its the same group who have been waffling back and forth on who's the number one, whether to keep him or move in - largely in public. Luongo seems not thrilled with the delay - but does seem accepting - at least when interviewed - of a trade.
Leaves one wondering if Gillis really isn't sold on staking his career with Canucks on Schneider after all. |

you'd think... but most are drinking the Gillis coolaid and believe they have an Asset that they can trade to improve their team. |

Yeah, some regret. Watch another bottom feeder get swept by the Bruins, while we wait another 3 months and collect MacKinnon, Jones, Drouin, Barkov or Monahan. I think I'll sleep OK, if this happens. - PrinceLH
exactly ... and its exactly this reason - particularly with a shortened season that Nonis shouldn't give up any real long term assets - while at the same time eating away at the available CAP space that Burke managed to create come July 1st.
given the current composition of the blueline, he (Nonis) should be working to dump Komisarek and his salary to add another 4.5CAP space as of July 1st and perhaps also Liles, neither of them can be part of the longer term future - although keeping Crapasarek around is kind of insurance against finishing higher than bottom five. |

No they don't lol. They're overflowing with players, and have guys like Ross, Devane, Mckegg in the press box. |

Defense. Those are all forwards you named.
The two players they aquired today are AHL career Dmen, for the most part. |

it's the NHL 2012 strategy. this is the first in a long line of moves that will get us crosby and every 1st rounder in this draft. |

If it costs them points in the standings, it's a great pickup! Now Luongo, he'd hurt the team, more then he'd help. |
