I gave up on him last year.
He HAS been given a chance with the Leafs, with the big club AND the Marlies.
He plays decently for brief stretches, and then he pretty much mails it in.
He has all the tools, but no toolbox.

He hasn't really been giving a chance. Playing a couple of games in the top 6 and then being moved to he 3rd line is not really a chance.
He needs to play on the second line for an extended period of time. |

As for Lou, Gillis feels he can get top quality for him in a trade. I say the Leafs back off until the summer. Let chunky cheek gillis sit with 9.3 million in goaltending until the cap drops to 64 million......then we'll see if he thinks Lou's contract is an issue.
