He didn't said a thing about Luongo and you attacked him as if he did.

Don't worry, you weren't out of line. A clear overreaction on his part. He just assumed you were from the regular Canucks crew and didn't take the time to read what you actually wrote. - Two_For_Truth

Its not that I dont want Luongo. We've had this conversation many, many times.
The point is that I dont want this team trying to fast track anything, I dont want them taking on mid 30 year olds, I dont want them taking on bad contracts, and I dont want them giving away assets.
Whether Luongo, Backstrom or Halak the answer is no. When you come here and ask again tomorrow, then laugh and poke fun because you get the same answer you dont want to hear, im going to call you out again.
Decent conversation is not
I think we all know what that looks like. Good luck! when discussing two goalies with not much more than 100 games experience combined.
You can fool the fools all day long, but these are the droids you're looking for when you try that poop on me. |

Yup, Out of line the Laugh Emoticons were. But they symbolize the fact that your goalies you have just arent enough. My point is, Burkes gone because you are not winning now. If you believe the goalie tandem you have now can get to the playoffs and beyond.... So be it.
I will gracefully exit this conversation to talk to other who are a little more civilized. Take care. |

The point is that we dont know if they are enough. Not enough games to make the call, especially playing under Ron Wilsons run and gun system. Chances are more likely that they arent, but might as well play it out and see. Havent had a good shot to prove themselves yet.
The point isnt that the goalies can get to the playoffs. The point is to see exactly what they can and cant do over a fair length of time. In the meantime, if the team falters, then they get a high draft pick like the need.
This team needs to build, or rebuild rather, the proper way. Through patience and good drafting. If it takes some more time, so be it.
I hope you find a place where you can troll without someone calling you out. Good luck. There is nothing civil about trolling, and leaving humbled after a failed attempt. Have a good night. |

You know, Burke and Nonis have made the Marlies a really good team...
Granted there are some good career AHLers on that team but doesn't it make sense that if your prospect team is good a few years down the road it will translate into your pro team being good? |

Seeing how the canucks just signed cam barker for assurance, i dont really see gunnerson being included in any deal for luongo. Maybe a prospect D like blacker at this point but not a gunner or holzer |

Its really hard to say. I dont think that one reflects the other though, IMO. |

Perhaps you guys should be looking to deal for josh harding. Or Bernier (Although I think he's insanely overrated) - vancity787
Harding - Just diagnosed with MS. Wish him all the best, but in another uniform.
Bernier - As you say, "insanely overrated." Is Bernier better than either Reimer or Scrivens so much so that he's worth what Lombardi is asking for? Absolutely not!
Elliot - Not sold on Elliott. One great season and not much else to back it up. Personally, I think Elliott's previous year was more a product of the team and system that Hitchcock implemented. Bryzzy and Smith are two similar examples of benefitting from systems and not being the same goalie either to arriving or once removed.
Halak - Gotta think that he is the Blues' "man." No chance the Leafs could snag him. |

Van needs forwards, not D. Prospects are great, but Van is in win mode now.
Bozak seems logical and so does moving either Reimer or Scrivens.
Chances are Van also needs to eat some salary. |

#BREAKING #Canucks news: Just received text from source saying #Leafs pushing hard for Raymond to be packaged w Luongo for potential trade.
Will look into this in the AM but tentative #Leafs offer: Gunnarsson+Kadri+Bozak+2nd for Luongo+Raymond+3rd. #Canucks analyzing options.
Ugg.
Ok, first, What the hell is so great about Mason Raymond?!?
Second, why the hell would be give up one of our best shutdown Dmen, after giving up a previous shutdown guy(Schenn)
We've waited so long to see Kadri play and now he could be long gone just as he's ready to play.
And who plays centre on the first line? JVR? Do we know if he's a fit there?
Lastly, why the hell would the Dman we send NOT be Komisarek?! We don't dump a single salary and lose a valuable piece to our future.
I know these twitter rumors are supposed to be bogus but in all honesty this is just the kind of stupid stuff that would happen.
Please don't, Nonis

Totally agree. These stupid rumours get to be too much sometimes. At least make them believable and show that it's an upgrade for both teams and not a stupid trade. |

You never know... Nonis likes "Smart hockey players" doesn't care about size and grit. He's the one who pushed to sign MacArthur, so he could very well be asking for Raymond too
Raymond is like a healthy Lombardi.... which isnt that great
Maybe they want a checking line of Raymond-McClement-Kulemin ...

I don't care what they want as long as it isn't Luongo in a Leafs uniform. |
