Actually, it's the opposite. The worse the Leafs do, the more they feel they need to shake things up and get a goalie. The better the Leafs do, the less they feel they need something.

Either way, it shouldn't matter. If they are 0-10 or 10-0, Luongo should either rot in Vancouver or end up somewhere else. Just doesn't make sense. Not even for free.

For once, we shouldn't eat our young. This idea that Reimer is a full washout, like Raycroft and Toskala, is ridiculous. The guy was injured most of the year. Wasn't he 4 and 0, when he went down? You don't get over whiplash in a few weeks. Hell, I had it last April, from a car crash and it took me 6 months to get over it. So why would Reimer be any different? He deserves the rest of this year to prove it. To not give him that opportunity, is pure stupidity.
