I agree I think Darcy plans on using Pardy with the big club he's an NHL d-man. I think Leo or Sekera are on the move. Also I said the other day even before Ruff said it that Scott will dress on a regular basis and Homer said that he will only play against 3 teams, they didn't get Scott to scratch him they are going to use him!
- sabresfandan

Then we have problems.

He has zero hockey talent outside of fighting. Zero!

I'd rather see Ellis in the Lineup over him and that says a lot coming from me.

Not me, Scott is there to protect his teammates they don't need his hockey talent. People whine and complain that the team isn't tough enough and then we sign one of the toughest players in the NHL when it comes to fighting and your saying you'd rather have Matt Ellis in the lineup

Scott for 1 minute and 14 seconds of ice time or playing a 4th line for 8 minutes a game with Ellis on that line.

Short season, it is essential the 4th line gets 7 to 8 minutes per game to help keep the top 3 lines fresh.

Regehr, Pardy, Ott, Kaleta, Foligno Mcmuscle

that should be enough toughness for most nights

Scott is a goon plain and simple and in today's NHL there is no place for goons. He will hurt this team more than help it. Far to many fans have a boner for a guy that has no business being in the NHL. Ott is tough, can score goals, play the pp, and on th pk. Those type of players are what wins games, not John Scott. If he plays more than 10 games not do to injuries I question Lindy's desire to win a cup.

Nah McCormick is a waste he loses all his fights and he isn't healthy now anyways. Pardy isn't noted for his physical play either even though I like him here.

John Scott is there for exact instances like what happened in Boston I disagree with you again yes you do need players like Scott it doesn't hurt to have him on the 4th line and the top 3 lines are going to get more ice time in a shortened season also.

Nah McCormick is a waste.
- sabresfandan

Most teams wish their 4th liner could put up 20 points in a season playing 10 minutes per game

In 10/11 Cody was the perfect 4th liner.

In 11/12 he was injured.

So by your logic Scott isn't a waste because he wins his fights.

If only the game of hockey was decided by who wins more fights than pucks scored.

I didn't say that I said Scott can help this team by having that type of enforcers presense, other teams notice that.

given the number of games player per week in this season, vs normal seasons

A good coach would try to give the top 3 lines less ice time per game IMO

48 games in 96 days says different.

You need roll 4 lines to keep legs fresh.

Agreed.

Scott will dress against certain teams of course. I asked John myself after Fridays practice about Milan and verbatim , 'I will handle that as quickly as possible' he told me.

But I think you are spot on with your post.

McCormick is way overpaid at 1.2, we already have players that can do what he does for less.

They will roll 4 lines but the top 3 are gonna get the bulk of the icetime, Ruff himself has said so, the 4th line will serve its normal purpose.

It's not just bad today. It's pretty much unbearable. I don't know that I've ever seen it this bad for this long.

I'm certainly glad that I'm not paying for this crap though.
