So, let's do some math here. You named 7 people. Kopitar is hurt, that leaves 6. Brown is not a center, that leaves 5. Carter should not play center, that leaves 4. They're not trading a center.

The only one I can see them possibly trading right now would be Loktionov because of the waiver situation like we have with Brennan. But that doesn't mean they will. It's easier to put a guy from center onto the wing than it is to move someone from wing to center. My guess would be you'll see them move one of the wingers they have, and shift one of their many centers to wing before you'll see them trade one of them.

And yet as soon as Giroux got some seasoning Carter's time at center got cut down. And then he went to Columbus where he couldn't hack it at center with Rick Nash on his wing. He's much better on the wall than he is at center. He's a goal scorer. Not a passer.

The only trend I see is that his career has been going backwards for years now. LA brought him there because of Richards. The two of them work well together. Meaning, one of them is playing the wing.

Bottom line the Kings are loaded at center, if you want to know where Ek's trade rumor came from check out Matt Barry's blog, he talks about there loaded center depth and their need to get a veteran D man. Let me just use a famous quote used on this site frequently. Facts have no place here. All I said is the Kings "could" move a center, you said they definitely will not. I said they have 6 players who could play center and you proceeded to do the math and said again they wont move a center. I didn't jump down your throat until you said Carter played wing in Philly, I don't mean to be Mike Richards, but it just wasn't 100% correct, is it possible that Carter moved to wing in both Philly and LA because 1.Both teams were loaded at center 2. His F/O % was sub 50% 3. He had chemistry with Richards when he came to LA, that doesn't equate IMO that he just cant play center

All I care about is to at least make the playoffs this year!
