All this talk about Scott and others on the Sabres fighting, I don't know why we don't play that kind of game never have. Miller got blasted more then one time as did Briere and nobody did anything. So why should Scott matter? All this talk is for nothing.

My ignorance ! Do you follow the eastern conference ? Do you realize how bad Buffalo got man handled last year . We were in 2nd place rolling along . When that fireplug called Lucic ran our goalie and our season fell apart.
Do us a favor go to the boards that cover that 3 ring circus you have in Edmonton and let us worry about John Scott . By the way I know more about your arena situation than you . A very good friend of mine was long time building manager of Northlands till his retirement not too long ago . He keeps me apprised of all your slime ball owners doings.

what are the odds we lose leggio on waivers? why are we bringing him up?
- FIREonICE

They have to put him through waivers. It's just the way it works. He's not coming here to Buffalo, they have to put him through waivers to keep him in Rochester. It's just like it would have been in September had training camp happened then.

I would say it's not outside the realm of possibility that he gets claimed. If he does, good for him. Maybe he'll get his shot. It's not entirely bad for us either because we have 2 young guys that aren't going to develop sitting on the bench.

Leggio is an adequate AHL goalie . Never will be a reliable NHL goalie . He does not control his saves well enough and gives up massive rebounds.

Too bad Northlands has nothing to do with the arena. Id love to hear your input though. How do you feel about the funding model? The ratio of public/private money? How about the casino and retail and other projects going into it? Do you think the LRT extension will be necessary? Having seen Edmontons downtown recently (since you know so much about it and all) do you feel a revitalization is necessary? Do you think Diotte is right? Do you think Danille Smith's funding idea is viable? I eagerly await.

we got 12 points in 12 games after that hit

after those 12 games, then the team did not care about anything

i like scott. i dont think he's a waste of a roster spot. if lindy plays him right he could succeed with buffalo. for instance 2-4 shifts a period, on the fly starts, realistic expectations for what you want out of him. what i expect is 1 goal, 3 assists, 50 hits a +- -6 or better, 100 PIM's

i follow what you are saying with the fact that legit tough guys are a dying breed in the NHL because guys wont fight them and because they cant keep up with the play they are just useless. where as a sorta tough player who can keep up with the play is much better. for instance buffalo has cody mccormick who is not the toughest guy but he can actually play a shift. if scott got buffalo 1 goal, 3 assists +/- of -6 or better, 50 hits and 100 PIM's i would be happy with that. he's a 4th liner in a shortened season so i doubt he will see more than 120 shifts. its only a waste of a roster spot if you expect something out of a 4th liner. for buffalo its looking like we expect our 4th line to be the muscle and thats it.

IMO, it's guys like Ott & Foligno & Kaleta that are in the line-up every night that'll make more of a difference
- jdfitz77

This is very accurate.

Aside from a good fight or two all year the Scott experiment will probably prove to be a laughable mistake.

Lucic will get his points and win his fights this year. I hope the team doesn't lose focus. Beat the B's. Eff Lucic.

I agree MHP I think that 3rd line of Leino-Grigo-Ott sounds awesome, I think that might get Leino goin too BTW I think Ville will be a lot better this year.

Yea just look, a 600k investment to protect some of Terry's larger investments.

What a real laugher that is.

Expects the city to fund 75% of the project or more , and he wants 92% of the revenue . Wow great deal ! Raise the price of aspirin in your drug stores you need more pocket cash Mr. Katz. Has a sweetheart of a deal agreed to . Then pulls kids games as if he is going to move the team to get even more , walks away from the deal and then refuses to even attend meetings with the city . Real class act you have there. As if the NHL would even approve the move . Been to Edmonton many times and it will survive without Greedy Mr Katz if it has too .
Now again Mr Troll why do you hate a move Buffalo made so much and how does it effect the Oilers . Unless you want Mr Scott to protect your up and coming stars?

Well it is a measly $600,000 mistake that Mr Pegula is willing to make . It astonishes me how all these so called hockey experts act as if it will cost Buffalo a run at the cup. I don't think ticket prices are going to go up because of it . Maybe it just saves one of our stars from getting abused as has been the case in the past.

These arent experts here bro.

Just fans giving their opinions.

Some even when they know they arent on the right path will still keep driving down it though. If you know what I mean?

I think Lindy will give Leino every opportunity to succeed dan and if they could build some chemistry, could be a very intriguing line with a nice combination of grit and speed. I think Grigs will work very hard during this abbreviated camp and stay.
