i still would prefer NOT to get him, but any conversation with Gillis needs to start with this

at 27 without a decade left on his contract luongo + was worth bert, auld, and allen (vancouver also got a 6th rounder and krajichek)

so at 33 with an anchor of a contract he is worth less.

that being said, nonis is supposedly fairly patient and doesnt like to make the move if it isnt fair just to make the move.. so if I see the leafs give up way too much i will know that nonis is a puppet of ownership.
