And as good as Markstrom is, he hasn't had a remarkable AHL season yet. he needs more time to season in the North American game. If he was lights out in the AHL, I'd say tell Luongo to enjoy Ontario.

Who the (frank) wouldn't want o go there? Sun. Lower taxes. Not a fishbowl like the bigger cities. Some players aren't cut out for the bigger markets. People poop on those markets for some reason, maybe some have a valid point. But if we can't see the allure of them, then man we need to give our heads a shake.

We get rid of Theo in the trade to Van. Clem to the AHL or traded for something. Markstrom backs Lu up while Lu starts for two/three seasons. They split starts. Lu retires or is bought out. Markstrom takes over. All by 2016. Markstrom isn't rushed. He learns from the best. And the Panthers have the best 1-2 goaltender punch in the NHL. Ala Vancouver with Lu and Schneider.
