Don't think Nonis will give up Frattin and we'd be lucky to get Gunnarson. Hopefully it's better than Bozak and Franson. - Nucker101
More realistic. I'd see Bozak and Gunnarson, but hope that we don't give up Gunnar. |

Bozaks a lock regardless I think, and then one of Frattin/Colborne/Kadri and I'd love to get Gunnarsson Franson or Percy but I don't know if the Leafs will give them up - JameyVinnick9
I'm hoping they give up Gunner but presume it will be Franson |

Screwed Kadri? Are you poopting me? He's 22 years old and was drafted at about 165lbs. Not a chance was he ready for the big show. Taking it slow with him has prevented him from being destroyed by folks like Pronger. - lumlums
RNH is only listed at 171 yet he's full time. Maybe its your system as much as the player |

is this where you suggest Komi or Connolly' o - Bieksa#3
Not at all, just that Whatever Lu's true value, the return will be lower due to the contract and the fact that you can no longer bury it upon retirement. I could actually see Holzer going as part of the deal. As to what else would be there, I have no idea. |

I kind of remember him in the '11 playoffs. I didn't think he was anything special |

I've never thought he'd amount to much after seeing him play for London for years.

Nonis said yesterday he's not trading young talent for older talent. He said he'd only trade for example a young talented defenseman if he gets young talent for another position in return in any trade. So if Nonis stays true to his word, he'd only trade a young d man if he gets a young good center or young good goalie in return. So we'll see if Nonis stays true to his word. - GCHonda
The problem is, it won't be Nonis making the trade, it'll be the suits making the deal. |

I'd be very happy if we can get Gunnarson, I really like his game. He's a very good 3rd pairing d-man on a contending team. Huge difference between getting him or Franson IMO. |

Some guy named Dion or something like that... - geta02it
HMMMM mabie your on to something here......... It's been wide spread that a key component to Burke's firing mabie due to something about Luongo. Here's a hunch, mabie the Canucks are willing to take Phanuef straight up for Lu and Burke refused. That trade makes sense for the cap since they both are over paid. Could it be Phanuef for Lu straight up? Makes sense for Van. Instead of having a $7 million dollar backup, they could trade him for a $6 million dollar d man. Better to use the $6 million on the defense than a back up goalie sitting on the bench.
Van fans may laff but a Phanuef for Lu trade makes perfect sense in every way. Plus a bonus for Van is that Dion's contract is up after next season.

Nuge is on a slightly higher level than Kadri, and so has the moves to avoid the contact more. Not to mention that Kadri plays with more of an edge and goes harder, where I've never actually seen Nuge initiate contact with someone's body to try and get the puck. |

I suprised you guys can actually pick anything from our shoddy line up you want. From all Van fans comments on our players, i didn't think you guys rated any of them |

I think the leafs make the playoffs with luongo. I'm a bit concerned about that deal long term for them though. It'll be interesting to see what will go to van if this happens |
