What i find hilarious is that i read blogs on this site and then comment because i legitimatly like talkimg hockey. Sure my team is the habs but im a hockey fan first. Being a troll is a waste of my precious time, but sometimes some of the stuff i write can be taken that way, i understand that. with that said the hilarity is that an insignificant poster like me, who only wants to debate/talk hockey, gets lobbed petty insults because someone doesnt like my pov. The hilarity turns to frustration when i think this is a grown man who probably has spawn and has probably taught said spawn to be like that in real life.

You do realize ruttager, life is filled with a million pov's. You may not agree with all of them and thats fine, but the real joke is on you for showing your level of intellegence with petty posts like the one you hurl towards MJL and co, and this one.

The oilers will be great, ive never said different, lately from my perspective (having watched a poop ton oil games) they are lacking "REAL" veteran talent to help mold the young stars and get them past real adversity.

Skill is one thing, chemistry and leadership will win you championships. Look at washington. The built a team filled with skill. And they couldnt get it done. Poor leadership and no real vet with the experience to get them the cup.

Rich, you cant blame the CBC. They are making good business moves. Are you not a man based on good business moves? The flames/oilers games get the lowest viewership, hence no maky da money when you play games from ab. What id like to see tho is CBC playing more games during the week. Or at least have a CBC-2 created for games during the week.
- munky123

Good business decisons and CBC dont really go hand in hand.

Funny!!!! Tavares is a stud, was in top 10 last year and only getting better,
stop the homerism, and theres no way 1 Oiler would have more points then JT
geez, Yak is good, but not great and injury prone just like Hall, RNH, so becareful with your lousy crystal ball, bc its giving you bad info.....

- Ur Not Me

Kind of early in their careers to label them as injury prone... I agree that Yakupov will not get more points than Tavares this season, but for those playing on our first line, it's not out of the question that they match or even surpass Tavares' season point totals. Hall's PPG after his first two seasons are identical to Tavares... RNH's PPG after his first season was much higher than that of JT.

I'm sure CBC will jump on the bandwagon once we have a little more success... There are few teams that match the potential future marketability of the Oilers.

I agree. Homer maybe, but the habs are always going to be in the mix for marketing potential that said i hope the oil dont fizzle like the caps did. All world talent(s) no chemistry

They were reg season destroyers. It was just the playoffs that hurt them, because they couldn't adapt to having less space to wheel and deal.

That being said, Im positive that we have no one as soft as Semin. Including Joey Moss.

That and they didnt have their mental game. On paper the caps have/had the same talent as the oilers are ammasing now. I think they(caps) put to much owness on the young kids and had no quality vets to help them with getting thru the pressure.

Possibly. Our young talent is also mostly NA bred so I hope that will make them different. the grit and goaltending paralells worry me though.

ya b, would have loved to see marc recchi suit up for the oil! i think the goaltending issue will be fixed in the offseason. they ride dub this year and then trade or try and sign one of the RFA or UFA goalies of next year. backstrom might not be a bad sign july. if edm shows promise this yeear, and with the courting clause teams can do a week b4 the deadline, it could be good for edm. Or RFA bernier 2013? i dont see duby being able to handle the pressure... well maybe after the first cup? ha

def is another story. yikes

Oh God no. Vis basically says straight out he hated playing for the Oilers last time he was here. No chance of that happening. He'd move to Siberia first.

With the cap trouble it would bring I wouldn't give up any assets for him period. Decent goalie but confidence issues and the worst contract in the league

I dont want him under any circumstances. I wouldnt give up Horcoff for him. The cap liability is too massive.
