The timing stinks. I smell a major whiff of corporate bullpoop and business sticking their nose in where its not needed. He said himself that we didn't win enough games, but he definitely deserved this season at least. I'm gonna miss his sound bites for sure - lumlums
The timing is definitely suspicious. i won't be surprised if he ends up in columbus. if the jackets come out like poop, they'll make that change real quick. what are you expecting out of the leafs this year? |

I'm expecting that we prob end up wit ha top 10 pick again. But we also have the second youngest lineup in the league, and many people forget that. Add in a number 1 C and goalie and we're starting to take serious shape. Having said that, many people having slow, tired legs may work in our favour when we're icing guys like Kessel, Lupul, Frattin etc who can skate VERY fast. I just hope that its not boston that we play 5 times as they seem to have a way of destroying us! |

looking at the oilers, do you think leafnation would have been supportive to a full rebuild? no kessel, seguin instead. maybe no phaneuf but you could have larrson. |

Funny!!!! Tavares is a stud, was in top 10 last year and only getting better,
stop the homerism, and theres no way 1 Oiler would have more points then JT
geez, Yak is good, but not great and injury prone just like Hall, RNH, so becareful with your lousy crystal ball, bc its giving you bad info..... |

Fist!!! suck it ......Munky 123, oh and that FLflames34 guy too, he's kind of a homer. - ruttager17
What i find hilarious is that i read blogs on this site and then comment because i legitimatly like talkimg hockey. Sure my team is the habs but im a hockey fan first. Being a troll is a waste of my precious time, but sometimes some of the stuff i write can be taken that way, i understand that. with that said the hilarity is that an insignificant poster like me, who only wants to debate/talk hockey, gets lobbed petty insults because someone doesnt like my pov. The hilarity turns to frustration when i think this is a grown man who probably has spawn and has probably taught said spawn to be like that in real life.
You do realize ruttager, life is filled with a million pov's. You may not agree with all of them and thats fine, but the real joke is on you for showing your level of intellegence with petty posts like the one you hurl towards MJL and co, and this one.
The oilers will be great, ive never said different, lately from my perspective (having watched a poop ton oil games) they are lacking "REAL" veteran talent to help mold the young stars and get them past real adversity.
Skill is one thing, chemistry and leadership will win you championships. Look at washington. The built a team filled with skill. And they couldnt get it done. Poor leadership and no real vet with the experience to get them the cup. |

Yeah, I saw that. The Oilers were scheduled to play at home on Saturday, January 19th, but the CBC had the schedule changed so they could show a Canucks game instead. Toronto and Vancouver games on Saturday...As usual, no other city matters if you're the CBC. - Maxbone
Rich, you cant blame the CBC. They are making good business moves. Are you not a man based on good business moves? The flames/oilers games get the lowest viewership, hence no maky da money when you play games from ab. What id like to see tho is CBC playing more games during the week. Or at least have a CBC-2 created for games during the week.
Edit: reason being so all canadian teams get national viewership. |
