Sadly Getz will never come to Canada I'm friends with his sister-inlaw and he likes not being noticed every time he goes out. But that being said he's be the perfect #2 fit.

IMO I wouldn't get rid of him if I was the Oilers. Really big fan of how the D settled down last season after they dealt Gilbert for Schultz.

I thought the same thing. I still think we need one more NHL ready defensemen on top of what we've got. I know he's been playing in Europe so he'll be in game shape, but I have no faith in Corey Potter. He is way too slow to be an NHL regular.

The Oilers have all kinds of time for the Ben Eager they thought they signed as a UFA. I think he, like 5 or 6 other guys are auditioning this season for the next 3 to 5 seasons with the team. Eager has 20 games or do to save himself in Edmonton.

next 3-5? I disagree, I'm thinking for next season. Short seasons like this won't tell the whole story. This season is about next season.

I agree. I regularly read Clout's blog (and Barry's) because regardless of the blog, the comments and discussion are always entertaining.

With regards to trolls, I'm a die hard Leafs fan at school living in Edmonton, so I'm used to being trolled on a regular basis (even by random people if I'm wearing my Leafs Jersey)... as far as I'm concerned, any discussion is a good discussion!

Yeah, I saw that. The Oilers were scheduled to play at home on Saturday, January 19th, but the CBC had the schedule changed so they could show a Canucks game instead. Toronto and Vancouver games on Saturday...As usual, no other city matters if you're the CBC.
