Sure he was. He didnt miss most of the season. And he was producing. Theres a reason he was targeted and not Hemsky. At the time of the trade we were looking for scoring. And still didnt go for Hemsky. Im not saying Hemsky isnt a good player. His health over the past few years really hinders his value. I like Hemsky, and wasnt opposed to the Kings even going after him.

Hemsky has been healthy for a while now. Played all through the lockout.

Anyways, doubt he gets moved till he shows it in the NHL.

So surviving the lockout period of time means Hemsky is good to go? Im sure he starts most season's ready to go. None the less. Im saying his Health history is gonna make GM think twice about what his value really is. But i guess making it to January is a good thing.

Im not. I wasnt trying to bash him. Just the other Oilers fan brought it out. I was proposing a Hemsky trade to get the Oil some D support. But hey. Hemsky is worth the moon it seems.

Hemsky has been healthy for 106 straight games now since his last injury, 69 games NHL 10 WC and 27 Czech league.

Give us Larsson

Wondered how many posts it would take for someone to ask for Larrson? 2...

Larsson, henrique, and a first will get you Hemmer.

In all seriousness though I'd assume larsson and henrique are close to untouchable. What would be a fair trade for Hemmer? I'd like a 2013 first but does New Jersey have a 2013 first? What do you guys value zajac at? Would hemsky plus a pick give us zajac or is he off the market? Is josephson able to replace him?

- ystoil

The whole point of NJ adding Hemsky is to replace Parise. No way in hell they give up Zajac. or any other top 6 forward for that matter.

Henrique isn't going anywhere, and the Devils have 8 NHL defenseman + a few solid defenseman in the AHL who may be NHL ready. Doesn't make much sense.
- Todd.Cordell

Great that you have 8 D but Subban becomes your #1. He also puts people in the stands an will help sell lots of jerseys. The means $$$$ in the owners pockets. Henrique will not do that. No that I think of it, it will have to be Herique +.

Interesting... i would like to have volchenkov and maybe zubrus for hemsky and +?

That would give the oil a forward with size bit of skill and grit, plus a solid shut down defender IF he could stay healthy. Make me wonder if the oil think Harti or PRV is ready for top 6 ice time.

And Hemmer is no replacement of ZP but they do need someone to fill the gap and he'll need to stay healthy. J

That's a terrible attitude... That I occasionally share

But realistically, if you can trade Henrique for something better than Henrique, you do it... Right?

- Mr_Clean

Yes, but that trade doesn't really make us a better team, even if we get the better player. We'd be incredibly thin up front and have 9 NHL level dmen.

Great. And with Henrique in the deal the Devils say no thank you, since it doesn't make sense. Find another team.

This. We have plenty of D prospects and NHL defensmen. Find something there or move on.

Who the hell do the devils have to trade. They are thin in valuable prospects.
And they shouldn't trade picks because if they don't win now they will need rebuilding in 2-3 years?

This raises his value closer to where it should be.
Opposing fans will do best to disregard this Inconvienent fact and continue to proclaim his low value
