You realize this is going to be tough when you look at who we are matched up against. Hopefully some of these guys progressed and they have good seasons.

It was a good one...

It was about Nick Leddy being available... and Chicago not liking his super agent. Neil Sheehy.

Oh well... what else is going on?

To me it's ridiculous how many on here still want this guy on the team? They use Nabakov as a reference who I don't think is that good and I still do not want here. If a player doesn't want to play for you than (frank) them. It's not good for the integrity of the team, how the rest of the league views you, nor other players on the Islanders who may or may not care about the team. Having someone who does not want to play on your team in a team sport is a no brainer giant fat bad move. Do your job Snow and find someone else and trade the guy. You're a GM that's what you get paid to do.

Disagree 100%. You're sending the wrong message by moving this puss bag. You're rewarding Visnovsky for being a Richard and being unprofessional and telling the rest of the NHL that being a Richard is the way out of having to play on Long Island.

Saw on twitter some teams are sniffing around RFA's especially Subban, Del Zotto and Kulikov...I wouldn't think the Islanders would go after Subban? If you really want to bust on the Rangers offer Del Zotto $ 3.5 million a year and see if he signs...the Rangers would really be in a bind...they only offered a little more than $2.0 million...
- kear20

At 3.5 million the Islanders would owe the Rangers a 1st and a third round pick.

Are you aware that the new CBA provides an unlimited move up to the first pick if you are one of the 14 teams not making the playoffs and you win the lottery?

Last CBA you could only move up what, 4 picks?

Now, if you finish 14th and win the lottery you can move all the way up and get the first pick.

This was done, primarily, to make the non playoff teams think a little harder before they put an offer sheet in on some other teams player.

So then bury the guy in the A and call it a day, whatever. He doesn't belong on the team. Just as long as he's not on it I could give a shat.

I wouldn't touch Del Zotto for $3.5m.

We could have drafted Kulikov instead of de Haan

- eichiefs9

I remember during that draft, I had no idea who Kulikov was, but when he was selected, I couldn't help but notice how much bigger he was than almost everyone else there. Not even taller, but just bigger...guy's neck was thicker than deHaan's entire body. That's why I'm perfectly fine with the Reinhart selection this year, even though I was hoping for Murray or Grigorenko if either fell to us. No problem at all with picking the guy who is further along in physical development and looks like he can eat the other picks for breakfast.

Seems unnecessary, considering how few teams were willing to put out offer sheets in the first place. If anything, they should have done something to make it less taboo. It's like GMs are scared to violate the unwritten code.

I really don't mean to be attacking you but you definitely aren't thinking the last 2 days.
They can't just throw him in the AHL. He is on a one way contract and will not clear waivers with all of these teams needed defense. You don't give up Visnosky for nothing because you're mad at him.

Them the isles look spiteful (which they might be) and vindictive and that will look bad to players around hockey. Burying him in the "A" just to be spiteful will look petty and reflect badly on the isles. Better to take the high road and give him every opportunity to honor his contract. He is the one who looks like a poop right now, not the team (a rare and welcome turn of events).

I don't know if it's a case of not thinking or a case of not knowing how the NHL works. You are correct, if the Isles were to get LV back and tried to send a message by sending him to the AHL 29 other teams would laugh their asses off and take him off waivers for nothing.

Jethro is correct on this situation, you do not move him or you are letting every other player and agent know if you refuse to report to the Isles you get to go somewhere else.

Emotional reactions without knowledge do nothing but make people (cpt) look silly.
