I believe Kessel would have to play goalie, and defense, all the while carrying his team's entire offensive fortunes on his shoulders.

Seems fair.

I said clear as day that Burke thought the price was too high, which is why he vetoed the trade - and by too high, I point to the reports of it involving Kadri & a 2nd rounder.
- Pen15

And you were wrong because Burke isn't the only one who thought the price was too high. Nonis did too. They both did. Together. Burke didn't get fired because of Luongo. He was going to go after him anyway.

You got a problem with those facts? Take it up with Bob McKenzie.

Dougie was almost 30 when the Leafs acquired him. Under your (frank)ed up way of building a team, you would have freaked out on Fletcher for trading for a 30 year old. You would have preferred to trade for (frank)en picks.

Go ahead genius, refute that now

i actually think he could play a very positive role as an advisor to Nonis.
- spatso

his office is on level P3 in the Parking Garage. There is no phone. The senior advisor role is simply so they don't have to pay him out now and then have him go somewhere else. This way, they just have to pay him till he leaves.

Wrong again. Nonis referred specifically to Gardiner & Rielly - that's what him and Burke agreed on...but he didn't say anything about Kadri or future draft picks, which I'm guessing is probably where they disagreed.

And it was reported by Spector that there was disagreement among Maple Leaf brass on the Luongo price. But keep thinking what you will...I just hope you're around these parts when Luongo is dealt next week for Kadri +. We'll talk then Uggie.

Doug Gilmour won his one and only Cup in Calgary at the age of 26. Maybe if the Leafs had been the ones to draft him, they would have had a bigger window of opportunity.

Put the pieces together. If you can...

You are incorrect. Again. It was speculated by Spector, not reported. Learn the difference between report and speculation. You're welcome.
