no actually in the past 3 years MDZ couldnt even crack the rangers lineup long enough and when he did sure he put up 37 points but was a -20 and than got dropped down again the next year for inconsistency and now the 3 others have risen and now insulate MDZ, meaning he can play well surrounded by other good D, Subban has gotten better while our D has gotten either worse or more injured or both
so no i guess you dont get it, which is fine too - Habitants98
MDZ younger than Subban and has had a better career.

PK should get the same thing Price did at the same age. Unless they believe he's more important to the team than Price is...

simply put the team in front of him needs him more than the rangers need MDZ, therefore one has more leverage when asking for more money but feel free to keep not getting it

no, leverage is that they have no one to replace you or take your minues, like i said on the rangers Girardi eats up minutes as does McDonaugh same with Staal and 2 of those can also run the PP

Not hard to find d-man who might get 40 points have a good shot and be borderline dangerous in their own zone.
