You do realize that six defensemen fill different roles on your blue line. I couldn't care less about 22 points Kaberle scored in 43 games. I'd never replace Emelin with him. They fill different roles.

Last year, the blue line was crippled by Markov's injury. With Markov in the lineup, with Subban and Diaz, would you start Kaberle over any of those three??

Maybe Diaz, if he's not producing on the pp.

I'd rather see Diaz skate a regular shift than Kaberle, he's much more reliable in all situations than Kaberle is. Don't know who wouldn't...

I'm not saying Kaberle won't play, but I don't have him in my top six, and I'd never play him instead of Emelin, Gorges or Bouillon.

Emelin should not be in the top 4 for any playoff team.

So...he's a good fit.

yes. every day, Fehr would get on the phone and read each player all 689 pages of the CBA.

clearly Cole wasn't listening that day. HIS EARS WERE FULL OF MONEY

- dt99999

So the players weren't as informed on the process as we were told? And if he had any questions he could have asked.
I'm not saying he isn't entitled to know how much he will be making, but he has had almost two weeks to find out, you would think if he cared so much he would have asked instead of female doging to the media. LA DE DAH

Homers tend to have that effect.
Maybe you can answer why bourques life is going to be so much better in montreal

- HuileHab

i don't understand the dig... why the dig?

I said he's had time to think about how his life could be so much better here--- meaning, so much better than he made it last year. He was miserable on the ice. If he plays like he should, he could see what it's like to be liked in Montreal. that would make his life better, no?

Also... I'm such a homer? that's why I said I don't think they'll make the playoffs?

Emelin, Gorges or Bouillon. are not the same type of D as Kaberle.
Can't compare apples with oranges.
IF.. and that's a big IF Diaz can man the PP, then your argument is valid.

But I doubt Molson agrees to pay Kaberle to sit on the bench or the pressbox.

2nd rounder would be amazing. Odds are it won't for this year's draft though, as teams are aware it's probably the best since 2003.
