Very true, Gardiner is a solid PMD, not elite but I think most fans would like to have him on their team, it's kind of the measuring stick on how he is perceived as a talent if other fans want him.

I would agree with all of this. Most teams would like him . He is still unproven same as Schneider ,but you can tell when a young player looks good.

His true test is when he is surrounded by better talent on the Leafs. Give him a good mentor partner and a solid goalie and forwards who are not playing in their own zone most of the night ,then you will see him like a Bogassian type.

And this is different that the many Nucks fans coming into the Leafs thread. Brilliant.

Is Luongo better than Bryzzy? That's debatable. HOWEVER, even if Lu is better than Bryzzy, the difference DEFINITELY not worth Couturier.

Furthermore, Bryzzy is also 2 years younger than Lu and with a shorter contract and similar cap hit (+$300k for Bryzzy)

Although it's not the direction that I'd like to go personally, if it's going to happen we may as well embrace it for what it's worth.

Given both teams' current circumstance, both teams have assets the other can use. I just don't see either team "selling the farm" to make a deal happen just for the sake of it.

I think Ownership is putting a lot of pressure on Management to make the playoffs. Not good for the ratings when they don't
