Seriously? At this point in time the odds favour the canucks by a wide margin, unless your a blind follower of a GMless team...oh wait they took another of our castoffs as a gm right?
- rune_74

Too bad there isnt a "yawn" emoticon.

I dont care about odds, I care about results.

The odds of the Canucks, with their aging roster, being better than the Leafs making the playoffs is not that wide of a margin. Both long shots at best.

What does that have to do with the Leafs being in great shape?

I know you don't like his opinion, that's fine, I agree Luongo is a better goalie than Bryz, imo.

MacKenzie picked them to finisg 15 th in the East

[quote=VANTELLets see a gold medal winner, Jennings trophy .multiple vezinas nominations , 2 presidents trophy and a Stanley cup finalist against a rookie that has problems in his own end and helped lead his team to 29 th spot .

Where can I sign up?

Where are these delusional fans saying they are in great shape? I'm around Leaf fans here a lot and the only thing they say about being in good shape is being set up comfortably with cap space for the next few years and only a couple of long term contracts (JVR). Have a little bit of depth in the AHL and juniors but very little elite talent.

If your going to make a broad statement like that, at least back it up and don't go by the obvious troll accounts..

- LeafMan

Well played good sir.

Must be. Why else trade such an amazing goalie that eats planets for breakfast?

Any other reason? I'll wait until you find a way around this. Take your time.

You mean no GM is smart enough to figure out after 6 more years Lu comes down with concusion like Symtoms?

Could very well be, depends if they buy into Carlyle's system and goaltending, then they move up a few spots closer to 8th.

To bad the new CBA doesn't have a clause where you can buy out a couple of contracts. Wait, what...........?
- fiveandagame

So you think they would keep Bryz and Luongo this year just to buy out Bryz next year? That's a TON of money committed to goalies over the next 10years, lol

... But let's disregard Lu's age and contract, and the fact that a stacked Van team in arguably the weakest division (until recently) had anything to do with any of those rewards.

Exactly. Gardiner WAS A ROOKIE D-man who managed to turn heads around the league with his poise, skating, pucks smarts, vision etc despite being on a lottery team.

You have one great goalie and a goalie thats been great in only 60 games.

I was right, you guys would find a way around discussing the horrid contract.

Its called postional depth. The Canucks feel that they have 2 #1 goalies and there is a redundency in that. They want to trade one to help fill holes in other areas. Is this really a difficult concept to figure out?

Gardener doesn't make sense.. So Reilly does?

You'd have been better off removing that line that said no sarcasm intended before posting.

Ridiculous.

We get another good prospect. Its a deep draft.

But you're a Canucks fan. Hire Fletcher. He can draft shmaft with the best of them.

29 teams couldn't take Nash becasue of of his NTC. I would love for you to give me a detailed list of teams that would take Luongo. As far as I know, Gillis is the only one that has that info.
