Have to switch Couturier and Briere there. Fedetenko and Read are better defensive players and are a better fit with Couturier. And I'd personally move Fedetneko to the 4th line and put Talbot with Couturier.

If you have Briere on your team, and we do, it wouldn't be a horrible idea to plop him on a line with talented defensive forwards.

There were a huge number of first round busts in that draft. He wasn't one of them. You aren't going to find many options better than JVR even in retrospect almost 6 years out.

Not saying hes not talented....Most of the time he was not playing physical at all....When he was (sporadically) he was a beast. I just dont think hell ever be that physical monster hes supposed to be in order to be successful. To much finesse not enough grit.

Sure. I have no doubt Giroux and Voracek we'll play together at somepoint. They may even start the season together but I'm not gonna guarantee they'll work. I happen to believe the future of this team lies within Giroux and Brayden Schenn but I could also be wrong.

I'm not going to guarantee they'll work either. But I think it's worth a look. I think the future of this team absolutely lies with Giroux and B Schenn. But Voracek is just as much a part of that future right now.

I'd rather use those defensive forwards on a checking line. I think a line of Couturier centering Read And Talbot could play against anybody, and also chip in some offense.

Should be Florida (Miami) or Columbus..both are awful hockey markets. Phoenix is a thought but with the jameson group taking over I doubt there leaving Phoenix anytime soon
