Commodore and Martinek have reportedly been invited to the Habs & Isles camps, respectively.

I had mentioned Jones & Campoli before, as well as Paul Ranger. Ranger reportedly is only interested in staying in Toronto, though-currently playing well for the Marlies

I seem to remember hearing that it would be in early April, so yeah right around that time.

Could make things interesting, I'd imagine they'll have the draft them free agency that following Monday just so they aren't at the same time.

Short season, anything can happen. A rash of injuries can derail any teams playoff chances. A 5 game losing streak in a 48 game schedule can cripple a team.

Forgetting that in most sports, defense wins games. Even the great Tom Brady (and he may be the best ever) has had trouble getting his team over the hump with a less than stellar D. P Manning has one SB.

Meanwhile, the Giants win 2 SB's in recent times.

Hockey - look at the imporance of LA's goaltending. Bruins - Chara/Thomas.

I think the Pens as a favorite is a bit of a joke.

I think a lot of teams have a chance in a shortened season. Too much can go right or wrong in a short season. Not a lot of time to right the ship if things go downhill.
