Perhaps he is starting to lose some of his luster? Not sure. However I do agree that it will take more than Gagner to attain Mcnabb.

edit: I will say that in developmental camp I was not very impressed with Mcnabb either.

I thought Fienhage out performed him.

I personally think Mcnabb is a bit over rated. However I am not a huge Gagner fan. Mcnabb needs to learn how to play consistently, he is struggling in the AHL right now.

Part of why I would want Jones even though we need centers more is because he had such great chemistry with McCabe. I feel like you should always take the best player available, even if it doesn't necessarily fill a hole on your roster at that moment. So many of these guys take a few years before they'll make an impact anyway, it's possible you could be using him to fill a new hole at that point anyway.

Who cares we wont be picking in the top 16 anyways....this team is definitely a playoff team. It was LAST season, they just played absolutely atrociously out of the gate. I'm expecting anywhere between 4-7 seed for this team...its hard to gauge where everyones gonna fall in this shortened season. Hopefully they play to their potential



Also, really hope grigorenko gets his 9 game tryout. Dont necessarily want him the full season though, because I dont want them to waste a year of his ELC.



Just would be nice to see where he's at.
