wow, somebody that says anyway instead of anyways when I go i dont really care who we play either. I'm there to see the Sabres play, have a few beers and hang out with a friend or two...who they play is a non factor for me for the most part.

I generally only target a few teams a year. Mostly the Western teams since we don't get to see them too often. Other than that I've seen everyone else so many times it's no big deal. The LA game was supposed to be right after my birthday, so I'm a bit disappointed that we're not playing them now. That was pretty much the only game this year I had specifically picked out.

Vanek can make plays that 95% of the players in the NHL wish they could make, he is a under rated playmaker and has vision and creativity. I think his struggles are almost like a writer having writers block. He seems to lose the creativity and his ability to improvise for long stretches. It's on Ruff to get him to go back to the basics and just fire shots at the net

Listen, you don't need to try and sell me on Vanek. I like what he brings. I just wish he did it more often. Personally, I'm more of a Pominville fan. I always have been. I think part of it is the overall story that comes with him. From being waived, to choosing Team USA, and all that. He's more of an underdog than Vanek, so he pulls at me more.

I just about threw up in my seat when he got leveled by Hjarlmarsson. I thought for sure he was done for the year. I get angry when Vanek gets hurt, but it doesn't make me feel sick like it did with Pominville. Pommer is overall just more important to the team. That's not to say that Vanek isn't, but Pommer plays a bigger role in so many ways that Vanek can't really compare.

Was just watching Ryan Nassib clips. Too much Jay Cutler in him. Has a cannon but poor mechanics. Plus he doesn't seem like he has any poise. Can move fairly well but is not very smooth. He is a project

"Obviously, with the coordinators, we want people that have thorough NFL experience, as far as especially on the defensive side of the ball. Offensively, we want people with NFL experience. For our coordinators, we want to make sure they've been in this league."

That's sort of why I kind of didn't want the season to happen. McCabe, Grigorenko, and even to some extent Makarov made me feel good about this team, and I'm not even much of a prospects guy because I think, like baseball, it's all a crapshoot with a few exceptions.

Cuse had a horrid oline Ryan had to pass on the run most of the time, the kid was always running for his life, What he did with that team with such lack of skill around him says a lot about the kid.

Got a tweet from Mike Harrington from the Buffalo news telling me that the Bruins will be the Sabres 1st game this season on the 19th but in Boston.
Tor at Mont - Ott at Winn finish out the rest of the division for the 19th.

Buffalo's 1st home game will be on the 20th. Still dont know the opponet though.
