Too bad a healthy Martinek is a myth!

The guy is the best positional d-men we have had on this team in almost 2 decades.... but relying on him to fill a roster spot for 48 games is like expecting DP to win the Vezina.. sure I guess its possible.... but its never gonna happen.

He's perfectly capable of playing 48 games. In an 82 game season and definitely not in a row.

While I agree Vis is not exactly excited to play for the islanders I think it is more he isn't making sht on his current contract. the KHL is offering these guys a lot of money to stay.. and if a few Big guys would stay I think they would say "go fish" on the "agreement".

The problem with the Islanders is their organization. You have to blame Snow on this one. He should have done is due diligence before making the trade with Anaheim. Since they traded for Visnovski they should have known he doesn't want to play for them. I think it's time to cut bait with him and move on.

montreal still has 6 million in cap space. And the only person left they need to sign is Subban, so unless another team sends an offer poop his way north of 5 million, i doubt the habs will let him go at all.

No actually I am not. Crosby even though he cries alot and me and him almost fought is a great wonderful NHL player. He is elite something the Islanders dont have. Maybe Tavares is a little in his league. When he gets 100 points by the end of the year and raises the cup he will not say much anymore.

I'd rather have the man of glass back than bringing up Wishart. With no Visnovsky, and Hamonic coming off injury, Martinek is not a bad option.

Yeah, that's a completely crazy notion . You know whats even crazier for a "rebuilding team"? Giving up ANOTHER pick for nothing! If there was ever a GM in the NHL that should do his due dilligence it would be Snow and for you to think thats a crazy notion shows just how "unique" you really are.
