Do you think he would be OK with not playing @ all!!! - jimmc7722
Probably more so than having a shot at playing in the AHL. |

At this point, it's tough to make a case for him to play here. He's made a bigger spectacle of this than Nabokov did. I can't imagine he'd get a very warm reception when his name's called out on opening night. Hopefully if he's forced to come here he's just immediately flipped somewhere for a pick. - UIF
He really put himself in a tough spot.
What was his agent thinking making that announcement. He must of know the agreement between the leagues.
His agent has really dropped the ball with everything he has done.
First fighting the trade, and now this.
It doesn't seem he has a very good grasp on his job!!! |

Stupid move by Snow and worse reaction from the player, lets move on from this debacle. |

You think he would rather retire than play between the Isles and Bridgeport?

true... a MUCH bigger spectacle than nabakov....BUT much like nabby, if he ends up coming here (which i think he will), he WILL get boo'ed (pretty loudly) but if he performs well, just like nabby, no one will hold the past against him.... |

It's actually pretty smart. Now the Islanders and the rest of the league know he wants nothing to do with us so if we "force" him to play we look like bullies. Just like Nabokov before Wang gave him a lobotomy. |

He has been around for a while and played quite a few years for us. It's a matter of pride and I couldn't blame the guy. Martinek though I like the guy is not a good move. Find another option Snow. |

I'm no sure at 37 and with all his past injuries why Radek does not just call it a career? |

I think anyone if given the choice would rather retire then play for the Islanders or Bridgeport. |

Bill Daly told Devils beat writer Tom Gulitti that he's spoken to the KHL and they said they will honor the agreement in place.

Nobody said it will happen... just an option out there.
Maybe Snow includes Vis in a package deal for Subban... |

How long before Brock Nelson is ready? Is he getting an invite to camp? - LeftCoaster
He has a broken jaw. No invite to camp this year. All for the better. We'll see him next year. |

rangers have 5 million in cap even with redden include, so if the islanders want to offer sheet DZ for north of 5 million, they can. I'm sure the rangers would be happy with the islanders 1st round pick. Especially this year in a deep draft. Not to metion the rangers do't have a first rounder due to the neash trade. - tomburton99
why would we do the rangers a favor? MDZ's future looks like another guy named Campoli. Same build. Same style. Same lame result. You can keep him and scream when he's outta position trying to do too much and gets burned. |

No actually I am not. Crosby even though he cries alot and me and him almost fought is a great wonderful NHL player. He is elite something the Islanders dont have. Maybe Tavares is a little in his league. When he gets 100 points by the end of the year and raises the cup he will not say much anymore.
that being said LETS GO ISLANDERS!! |

You almost fought him? Was that at Dunkin Donuts too? Maybe you should try Starbucks...
Tavares is getting there, he's an absolute stud. I think you should trade him to the Pens for Paul Martin seeing as you have all these question marks on the blueline. |

I'd rather have the man of glass back than bringing up Wishart. With no Visnovsky, and Hamonic coming off injury, Martinek is not a bad option. |

Martinek being "Not a bad option" is all very relative for the Islanders. There never seems to be many options and what options there are really are not very good |

Martinek on low price one year deal is decent for fill in. I too would take an injured Martinek over a Healthy Heartless Campoli. I really hope that bum doesnt get signed by anyone.

Campoli's not that good of a hockey player...but I don't have any hatred for him. He didn't want to play here anymore, but you know what? He didn't give an interview with some foreign paper about it, and never said anything publicly. He expressed his displeasure privately and allowed the team to get beyond full value for him. If you want out, that's the way to do it, imo. |
