Should have traded Nabby at the deadline with PA. I said it then and still believe it now. I don't care how Vis plays for 48 or hopefully fewer games here. Hopefully he does play well so we trade him ASAP and not make the same mistake again.

why not trade both at the deadline this year?

you make a ton of valid points and we agree - I am not saying Snow is an excellent GM, I do believe we have plenty of question marks regarding the players drafted, how they were developed and the lack of a veteran coach to develop them. I am extremely unhappy with the continual choice to bring in a coach without NHL experience when young players clearly could benefit from someone with experience. I blame a lot of this on Wang, I'm quite sure that most experienced coaches would stay away from the Isles due to our owner's reputation and I'm also sure that any vet coaches will be over the internal budget Wang has set for the coaching staff. I also believe that Cappy wasn't fired because they still owe him a year on the contract and would have to pay it out in addition to paying for a new head coach. I blame wang again for this.

I don't blame Snow for not bringing in the vet ufas that are still able to help us, he's offered more money and been turned down. He's made decent trades for bit pieces, which are mostly low risk, low reward. Where I would be critical of him is that aside from Ryan Smyth, he has not given this team of young developing players much help. Streit has turned out well but was thought of as a forward/defenseman and not terribly well regarded in Montreal. That worked out well for us, but could have easily not.

What Snow needs to do now, and had better do by the offseason coming up at the latest, is to pull the trigger on something that will push this team to the next step. We can draft and try to develop kids for years, but if you're playing them with crap or putting them in situations they're not ready for you're spinning your wheels.

Bobby Ryan would have been a great piece, PK Subban would be a big piece, something like that is going to be needed in order to kick start this team toward the playoff picture. Not a Guerin who's a couple years from retirement, we need a legit top line winger, and a legit top four defender in their prime who is signed long term so we can put them onto this team and fill a hole. Not plug a leak, FILL A GODAMN HOLE.

While I may sound like a Snow defender (and to a point I am) I still believe the franchise is limited by Wang as an owner and that Snow has to pull off a move to bring in legitimate talent to make me believe he can do this long term. As it is, he's done what I had hoped in replenishing the prospects in the organization and we have more roster talent than we did when he started, and it's younger and has potential. They will not reach their potential unless they have help. Snow's window with me is closing as this is the time the help needs to come. Get it done. If not, step aside.

I hope by writing this book that you can see I'm both positive and negative with Snow - I'm not disagreeing with those of you who expect more and I'm not slamming him quite yet, but he's got a job to do to fill those holes and he needs to step up and do it.

Milbury wouldn't show any patience, Snow shows too much. Middle ground. Want to see it.

Good reply. Thanks.

We pretty much see things the same way. You have more patience than some of us. I'm a bit more cut throat. Must be the PACK mentality!!!
