Surprised how many people still beleive this...
And a s much as everyone slams Gagner...he is better than what Vancouver or Calgary will be starting the season with at 2nd line C. - Iggysbff
I wouldn't be so sure about that. |

Corrados been traded to Kitchener - vancity787
Guessing Spott has learned from his mistake.
That could be an interesting day when he meets the coach again.
"How was Russia"
"Not so good Frank"
"Gee, I wonder if it was the fact you took that swiss cheese D instead of the guys who were playing well."
"Bang on Frank. It won't happen again. How do you feel about wearing the C here in Kitchener?"
"The A is fine, just don't let the Murphy kid any where near me. Better yet, trade is butt before he wears off on anyone else." |

Was just shuffling through some of the new CBA rules and regulations. The question that keeps smacking me in the face the more I get into it: Is the NHL not the most restrictive league in all of sports? |

That was a bit of a troll post on his behalf but as far as 2nd line C, who would be better on either team? Starting the year anyways. |

Spott wouldn't take the cape away from Murphy let alone the C |

It's too bad the Canucks aren't able to restructure Lu's contract. It's last few years that are screwing everything.
Prorated for this season + the remaining 9 years (~total 9.5 years):
- Salary = $44,501,317
- Cap = $5.33M
If those final two or three years could be shaved off, Luongo's value would raise significantly. Luongo would still receive every dollar and would receive more money even sooner. Something tells me he'd be interested in this.
For example:
$44,501,317 / 8 = $5,562,000 cap > Only +$232K with 2 fewer yrs.
$44,501,317 / 7 = $6,357,331 cap > Only +$1,027,331 3 fewer yrs.
These two options would also eliminate the cap savings risk of early retirement and make Luongo extremely appealing to a number of teams around the league. |

Schroeder will be lucky to ever make the NHL let alone 2nd line.
Ian seems to be pretty sure Kes will be back for the start of the season. We'll see. |

If he isn't, then Higgins or Lappy will play there.
And yes, they are better than Sammy boy at this point because they play in all three zones and not just from the blueline in. |

You should watch Gagner play sometime rather than just parrot what the other rioters have told you. |

He'll be better in the NHL guaranteed. He's gonna make Canucks fans forget about Hodgson. With NHL caliber linemates he'll thrive. Just watch. |
