Bill's going to be on WIP tonight talking Flyers which means all the listeners will think he's crazy for being so sane.

Cataldi and his minions in here will be running him out of town after the first loss.

They're nothing short of a propaganda machine, turning the city against a former Vezina trophy nominee.

Which he did from Mid-February on with great consistency but we still have to hear about how he's awful.

Well Briere is already missing 7-10 days of the season.

Anthony SanFillippo, Briere says he will likely miss a week to 10 days at the start of the season with his wrist/hand injury

Yeah, he wanted to keep both of them, but the new cap constraints limited him to choosing one. Redden was willing to talk numbers, while Chara was slow-playing it to UFA.

With the short season, that could be anywhere between 3-5 games.

More tidbits from James Mirtle...minor things that the players won in the CBA war

Just reading this article. Oh no Homer!

- Players will also now be able to receive no movement or no trade clauses that come into effect immediately when they sign a contract extension, not when the new deal begins.

Probably Brayden Schenn. It frees up a slot to give Laughton a short look in real games, too.

Yeah. Laughton may get to play some NHL games. Not sure I'm in love with burning a year of his ELC during a shortened season, but oh well.

They still have the CHL player window to prevent burning a year off his EL deal.

A bigger concern than Briere missing time is the status of Meszaros. Having Lilja and Gervais in the lineup for an extended period of time will conjure up memories of the Krajicek/Parent pairing.

Good point. Didn't think of that. Holmstrom would have been the first call up most likely, but he blew his knee out.

Just read the TSN Flyers preview. It's like they live in an injury report free zone. I'm surprised they didn't have Pronger on the Blue line.

TSN probably figured since an NHL game hasn't been played in nearly 7 months, teams would be healthy.
