My friend who works for an NHL team, told me this evening that luongos equipment is in Toronto. So i would believe that part. The players involved i dont have any idea.

it's actually impossible. As in, completely impossible that a trade has been completed. In fact, it's actually impossible one has been discussed. Unless you're foolish enough to believe that Burke and Gillis were discussing a trade before the lockout, without the least bit of knowledge on how the cap hit would be treated. which would be ridiculous.

So no, there is no trade done. I highly doubt one will be done in the next week, nor before the season starts.

A: GMs cant contact their players yet.

B: Luongo would have to agree to waive.

A + B is an impossibility for a couple more days at least.

My cousin plays for the Ducks. Him and Luongo trained this offseason. Said Lu has talked to Carlyle and St.Croix.

my stance is simple

dont want him because of that stupid contract.

but i recognize that he's still a very good goalie. so if burke does pull the trigger to bring him here i am not going to female dog about it. i'll just just cheer him on...

i mean if it happens i better get used to him being in the crease for toronto for the next decade.. might as well embrace it.

You are foolish to believe that they just hang up their phones and dont talk to each other just because there is a lockout. They just do it privately, as there are rules against it.

Dont believe me if you want but dont be so naive that trades/rfa signings arent being discussed until saturday or sunday because a deal hasnt been ratified.
