If he's top 3 in statistical value, then why aren't you keeping him? So why is he not good enough for you but good enough for us? We don't want him!!! You signed the ridiculous deal for this guy so he's your worthless asset.
- PrinceLH

whats the point in having two number one goalies on your roster? why not get something back for one of them when your roster is depleted?

Its a practical move for the better of the team.....

Careful what you say now. You will look pretty silly in two weeks when you try to tell us the new 34 year old Leafs goalie is the best in the league.
- VANTEL

Nobody is suggesting he's not a good goalie. Hell, nobody is suggesting he's not a great goalie.

But with these new CBA rules, his stock just plummeted. We'll give you the half-eaten pack of Starburst that Ron Wilson left in his desk drawer.

I wonder what MG could haul in for Schneider.

go burn 2 cars...
- Fruitcakenipple

Here's the problem: With Vancouver pushing so hard to be the greenest city in the world, people are opting for public transit and biking. Burning bikes just isn't as fun as burning cars. I would know.

Please show me where I said you would be fortunate to take on a 34 year old goalie with a decade left on his contract.

Considering it wasnt a direct quote, im not sure what you're looking for here. You've said it in several posts. If you're confused on how the troll is rolling, dont get mad at me.

Do I now need to point out every post in which you deny this too?

Since when does 55 games make a number one goalie? You have one.

Maybe for your team it is, not ours. We don't need him, or want him. He's a ten year waste of cap space and he'll hold up development of a younger goaltender that we don't even have yet. 10 years is a long time, to hold on to a diminishing asset. Your better off keeping him, due to the condensed schedule, so you don't burn out Shneider. You could still trade him, after this season and keep him as insurance for the playoffs......should be available about the 24th of April, once the Av's or the Oilers bounce Shneider and the Nucks from the first round. Then you should be on the Calgary trajectory about then.

I said Luongo is a terrific goalie. You agreed.
Never did I say the Leafs would be fortunate to have him. His contract stinks and he's aging. That said, he's still a pretty damn good goalie as we agreed upon. You guys really should read posts before responding to them. Might help with the flow of conversation around here.

And you have none. Which is why people assume the Leafs are part of the Luongo equation.

So you spew incoherent, contradictory jargon then get mad at everyone who has difficulty comprehending your emotionally driven rants. Might help with the flow of conversation if turned off the troll and turned on the coherence.

Yeah. Brodeurs old and hes been awful.

Goalies can play way further into there age than players. Anyways im done with this conversation. I hope you dont get him. Your team isnt worth a player of his talent.

More like Leafs fans telling the Leafs front office how to build a good team. It'll be OK. By next year, you'll be following the Calgary model to obscurity.

We too have a goalie with less than 100 games experience that is not a #1 goalie. Which is why the Canucks need Luongo as much as the Leafs.

Oh ya. I forgot that Reimer and Scrivens are just as highly promising as Schneider. actually, I think most teams would rather have Reimer or Scrivens than Schneider.

And Vancouver has won how many cups since 1967... that's right, the same as the leafs ...NONE!

Luongo is not as good as everybody (Vancouver fans) on this blog seems to think. He hasn't won a cup after two times at the dance and we (Canada) almost lost Olympic gold because of him.

If the leafs get him, they will fail longer.

Luongo sucks, there's no way Leaf fans want him. He wouldn't last one season in Toronto and the fans would eat him alive.
