Bobby Mac just shot down the rumours, for the reasons you said. He actually wants to stay on the Marlies, to be close to home, for whatever reasons.

Way to take things too literal.... he said he can't comment on him because he's currently only on an AHL deal. That doesn't mean he can't be in the NHL at some point.

He can play for the Leafs or the Marlies.... no difference in family there. If he doesn't want to to the NHL thing again, and just wants to stay in the A that's fine.

Leafs aren't leaving the eastern time zone, the Marlies still do have some west trips.

He can play for the Leafs or the Marlies.... no difference in family there. If he doesn't want to to the NHL thing again, and just wants to stay in the A that's fine.
