Oh, Uggie.
It seems you have all the answers to life.
Except, of course, the one to the question "how do I get out of my parents' basement?"
Much like Burkie, I urge you to stick to your plan. There are plenty of NHL management scouts who troll Hockeybuzz, looking for bright young lads with upper management potential. - Atomic Wedgie
lol, landing a front office job was my only hope of getting out of mom's basement.
Or getting a mail-order-bride who cooks with cheese |

Anyone saying what UG is, are coming from IhateBurkeland
The timing of the Kessel trade was horrible, and I hated it from day 1..but it wasnt selling the farm for short term success, and I cant think of 1 deal where he has done that. - senstroll
Pronger for Lupul and Grebeshkov.
Oh. wait. |

Thank you!
Now all I want is for UG to say that. |

It's the drop passes at the blue line that stand out like a sore thumb. - Atomic Wedgie
lol, he's not as bad at that as he used to be.
But he still needs to rip the puck more |

Have nothing to defend a Thornton and Luongo combination during the playoffs?
Not a big surprise.

There's a great thread from a few years back where he compares Tlusty to Kurri, Malkin, and Jagr.

I don't think he passes too much, because it's not like he has the greatest shot.
Spezza, on the other hand, passes too much, because his shot is underrated - AngryWhiteMale
Spezza uses a crappy stick made only for passing. It's kind of gay if you've ever seen it. |

His place in his mom's basement gives him a unique vantage point to opine about the lacklustre careers of some of the best 100 hockey players of all time. - Leeman4Gilmour
Not to mention watching game tapes on beta, against a 24 inch RCA TV in the wood panel case.

Have nothing to point to me being in favour of Luongo?
Mike the Knight is on in 15 minutes - don't take too long searching for that post that doesn't exist. |

That 5-2 Sweden Canada game in 2002, he made all the Canadian centres look like pylons, including Sakic, Yzerman and Mario.. - mykokes
Not better than any of them despite the one great game where he lit up Joseph. |

What an idiot...all he got was a cup from that.
Edmonton got Eberle out of it, but I bet they would do it again.
Just like the jays trading Jeff Kent for David Cone..

I do love how he fleeced Edmonton for Pronger by over-selling Lupul at the height of his value, then fleeced Anaheim by picking up Lupul at his absolute lowest. |

Is it just me, or do the days seem longer now that we know hockey is only a week or so away? |

Not better than any of them despite the one great game where he lit up Joseph. - Two_For_Truth
Is it so cut and dry? I mean while on the same team a 21 year old Sundin sure did put up better numbers than a 23 year old Sakic......
13 Mats Sundin 1971-02-13 21 C 80 47 67 114 96 21 6 3 1 4 6
19 Joe Sakic 1969-07-07 23 C 78 48 57 105 40 -3 6 3 3 6 2
and the next year
19 Joe Sakic 1969-07-07 24 C 84 28 64 92 18 -8 -- -- -- -- --
13 Mats Sundin 1971-02-13 22 C 84 32 53 85 60 1 -
These are numbers on the same team, of course we're talking careers here, and Sakic had the better career. But don't you find it the least bit interesting those two years? And it wasn't just one game, 20 points in 16 Olympic games, 12 points in 8 world cup games. It's a fricking travesty that he had so little to work with in Toronto. We had a franchise centre and we couldn't even get that right. |

Yes. Sakic is on another level than Sundin. |
