Sink or swim with Reimer or Scrivens.
The season might be effectively over for the Leafs within the first 2 weeks anyway.
Keep the cap flexibility, stay patient with a young core and a new coach.
Give Reimer a chance, now that he is healthy again.
Re-evaluate in the off-season.
It is not like the Leafs are even in the conversation for a cup, so who the F cares? - Aetherial
And Frattin and Kadri and maybe even give Joe Colborne a sniff.
People may have forgotten, but the Rangers got Nash.
Pittsburgh looks pretty good.
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it probably isn't going to be the Leafs' year to win the Stanley Cup, so let's see what the kids can do. |

The rumors are starting with bozak. That to me is already too much. They're also saying a prospect ( some have said kadri) and some have also said a pick. - burn

Gotta find a way to ditch Connolly and Lombardi. Armstrong was a damn good start last year, that made me very happy. |

I'm willing to give Connolly another chance.
Lombardi can rot in the press box until he gets injured.
We won't wait long. |

Are rumors of a 14 team draft lottery this year true? - 10in_soft
Yep...although they've also included the "Edmonton Oilers exception" that penalizes teams who have already had successive first overall picks. |

do i want luongo?
not really.....the Leafs aren't really good enough to warrant bringing in an expensive vet on the downslide.......
but with that said, honestly,is it really that big of a deal if the Leafs move Bozak and a middle range prospect for him?
Other than the Kessel deal(which is still debatable to many), what trade has Burke made to warrant all this hysterical concern over a potential Luongo deal.
I don't know why everyone is so damn worked up over it.
Not to mention, not a single Leaf fan can say that it wouldn't be nice to have somebody stop a goddam puck once in awhile.

On behalf of everyone who is so damned worked up over it, here's the deelio:
You will love Lu for two years. Unfortunately, those two years won't amount to jack, because the Leafs have no centres.
For the next 3 years after that, there is great potential the Lu would start to decline. You'll then wonder why we made a deal for a guy with a big cap hit, NTC and contract that goes on until the next Mayan end of the world.
And by about the end of 5 years, you won't know what is more terrifying: Lu continuing to suck and take up cap space, or him retiring and taking up Leafs cap space (yeah, check Elliott Friedman's blog - if Lu retires, the Leafs end up holding half the bag).
Lu helps us get to the middle, but prevents us from getting to the top.
I've been to the middle enough as a Leafs fan. I need more. |

seriously, it's so ridiculous the amount of panic and concern.....it's not like Gardiner, Rielly and a 1st would go the other way.
goaltending is one position, that once solidified, can bring a team a totally different confidence which is great for young players, especially with all the up and coming young d on the Leafs.
.....just ask the Devils. |

Press box is at the top of a long flight of stairs.
I don't want to put too much down here, as it may be used against me in court, but accidents happen all the time at the tops of long flights of stairs.
All the time. |
