You say it like its a guarantee. Training hard isn't a substitute for talent or skill. Sure, when you add it to a phenom like Stamkos it only makes him better, but Cody Hodgson isn't on the same level as Steven Stamkos.
- sambarugh

Does it put James Neal on the same level? What about Skinner or Tyler Seguin? I just see high level talent there that's all. Hodgson deserves that level I think. He's been preforming as such in Rochester.

Pipe down, Hodgson isn't Neal, Skinner, or Seguin. They've proven they are high level NHL talent. Hodgson has yet to prove his worth, and trust me I hope he does.

He is what he is in the end, a guy that can put up the same numbers as Derek "My Lambo sets off car alarms" Roy. AKA.....really good 2nd line center.

Not a bad deal when it only cost Kassian who will only ever be a 3rd line rw and Gragnani who was sent on him merry way.

I'd rather have RNH and NY than anyone one the Sabres roster.

Trust me Nail is and will always be a joke. Edmonton did Columbus a huge favor by taking him. He's the next Alexandre Daigle. Drafted #1 but no desire.

Just watched a Chicago Black Hawks tribute to John Scott that was 4 minutes long bahahaha.

Man amongst boys. Cant wait for the season to start with Otter and Scott in the lineup when needed.

Bring on the Bruins

So with Millers contract up at the end of the 2013/14 season does Darcy start feeling out the league on where everyone sits on Miller and what teams are interested?

Do we dare let Leggio come up and go with a 1-2 punch of him and Enroth and trade away Miller maybe not this year but definitely before the trade deadline passes next year ?

Does anyone think we will resign Miller? I dont see it.

I know we dont have NHL ready goalies in the system besides Leggio and even he is a question mark but I think we need to deal Ryan from a stance of strength before that stance becomes weak as time passes.

Ullmark, Knapp, and Makarov are all at least 2-3 years out from the NHL right?

Sorry I am all over the place but I was wondering what every other Sabres fans opinion is on the Miller situation and contract being up at the end of next season.

yeah that too...

Someone needs to tell garth that all Buffalo Sabres players are either on their way to buffalo or already there... this is not news and stop pumping us with posts about it. Save the pumping for his friend of the boy persuasion

I could see us offering miller a short term contract or trading him for the best price and getting another goalie to split with enroth.. Leggio will not cut it in the NHL

Yea I feel the same about Leggio but I think he will eventually get a shot.

I just feel they need to deal with Miller sooner rather than later or they will get burned one way or another.

"I asked him if it’s really sunk in yet that he’s about to make his long-awaited debut in front of the most passionate fans in the NHL.

It won’t be long until 18,690 screaming lunatics raise their beer with one hand then fist-pump their buddy with their free hand after #9 trucks a Bruin or he drops a Maple Leaf with a tire iron of a right upper cut."

Have you ever been to a game at the FNC, Garth? The place is a friggen morgue. It's not bad if you want to catch up on some reading or take a nap, but I would never go there looking for passion. We have among the WORST live fans in the NHL. The atmosphere is nothing, and I mean nothing, like the Aud was. The "real fans" in the 300 level are so goddamn miserable they'll give you dirty looks if you cheer or appear to be having a good time. You couldn't pay me to go sit with those jackasses.

Resign Miller for 4m and we still have Ewok. He is still young and could get even better

miller will probably want at least 5.5 mil.. if you sign him for 4 mil it will need to be for a max contract length.. someone will give him 5.5 or max length.. it comes down to how bad he really wants to stay in Buffalo. But i just dont see Ewok being a full time #1 in the NHL so we need to do something

Ewok is only 24 and Miller is now 32. Who knows how Enroth will be at 30
besides 6 years older.

I give you credit, that's more then I did. I guess i'm at a wait and see with Grigo, I just don't trust Lindy anymore with these players seems as though they are tuning him out.

Fleury makes 5 mill and has a cup, he will probably get another. No way Miller is worth 5.5 mill after this contract.

i did not say he was worth it... i just think that is what he will want and i think there are desperate teams out there that would be willing to give it to him.

i think his size will hinder him.. he has the drive and want to be there but i think his size will always be a hurdle.. i hope he gets over it because i like him but i just don't think he can. I think he is biron, always stuck as being an upper back up but just not good enouh to be a starter
