Sadly this is not true. I debate with Flames fans all the time...Many still beleive they are one or 2 peices away from a legit contender. I would say they are one injury away from a lotto pick. Not sure either can be proven right.

There are Oilers fans who believe the world is flat. Just sayin, no team's fans have a monopoly on stupidity (must... resist... tasteless.... LeafsorNucks.... joke...)

Only thing separating the Lamezzz and the Oil the past couple years was Kipper. If he had not stood on his head the Flames wouldve been in the lotto both seasons.

You always reference everything back to the Flames when I never say anything except they suck. Your post above is the stating the blatantly obvious, even the GM at the end of last season said if it wasn't for Kipper, we would be a lottery team.

Any Oiler fans who think they are playoff contenders, never mind Cup contenders with that D and Goaltending is on the Kool Aid.

Try and keep up, I never compared the Oilers to the Flames

I've always hated the "if they didn't have player A or player B" argument. Fact is, THEY DO.

Also, every team has a few players that are irreplaceable, injuries play a huge roll in the success or failure of every club.

I guess I shouldn't have said, "speak badly"... I should have said, "act douchebagishly"

Just stuff like this... http://www.torontosun.com...e-over-trade-to-islanders

He obviously thinks he's too good for Long Island. The Islanders are better off without him.

Well, his contract had a NMC... essentially Anaheim is saying that when he refused to kibosh the trade from Edmonton he surrendered the NMC. This is kind of a gray area... Anaheim certainly shouldn't have made that deal without making sure, in advance, that the NMC wouldn't be an issue, but in the hubbub of draft day I could see that step being overlooked. I don't really know who's right. However...

"It's not about Lubo saying he doesn't want to go to the Isles," Neil Sheehy, Visnovsky's agent, told Newsday. "He likes what they say. This is about establishing what's right."

That? Right there? Biggest load of utterly transparent rubbish I have heard since... since... OH RIGHT when that SOB Bettman called us "the best fans in the world".
@NHL

Lubo should just put on his Big Boy pants and say "I took less money on the contract to get the NMC precisely so as to avoid getting stuck on some stupid inconsequential nothing hockey team!"
