You never molested by the giant puck? My friend and I got into a shoving match the season before he lost his job and got charged.

I don't think Tim Thomas is crazy. He has never done anything crazy in my mind that i've seen.

You don't consider taking the year off to "focus on friends, family and faith", while under contract, a little nutty? Maybe not crazy, but not too cool to screw your team like that. I don't know what owner or player would want him on their team...plus he's old.

There's rumours that they may move Patterson. Before this season he had trouble staying healthy and Baille is a '92.
- mayorofangrytown

Yeah, I saw that Baille was a '92, so it's his last year. Hadn't heard anything about Patterson (not that I follow the Knights that closely). So I guess Stolarz is looking at, at the least, backup next year.

I thought Bailie was a year younger. Still, Cody Ceci got traded today, so we may see more movement or guys moved elsewhere as the NHL fires up

You never heard it?

"Slapshot (played by an unnamed performer) took it even further, going on an all-out grab-fest. The hockey mascot, who dressed like a puck, racked up three official complaints from disgruntled gropees before getting the sack. The Devils retired the now-creepy character and today have a much-less threatening mascot: the actual devil.

The year before my buddy and I were in line in New Jersey (Brendan Byrn) waiting for beer. There were two girls in front of us wearing flyers jerseys and this stupid giant puck pushed right between them and almost knocked the one girl down so my friend steps over and pushes him to the floor. After a lot of yelling and shoving they eventually told us we had to leave but security actually took us to the bar downstairs and told us to chill. We watched the end of the game and they told us they always got complaints about the guy and they couldn't throw everyone out.

My friend Ed and I had a long history with Devils security and Devils Fans including a nasty couple of incidents in 1995 in the parking lot after the Flyers lost in the playoffs.

Whatever his reasoning was, the bottom line is, it definitely affected the team chemistry. Boston was steamrolling prior to that White House trip, and really was a different team after that, when the attention was paid to Thomas' political leanings and his "busy" facebook pronouncements.

It put pressure on his teammates to answer questions and increased the scrutiny. It created an uncomfortable situation for his team

Patterson and Baille basically split time this year. I'd be surprised if it wasn't an open competition. I did read that Patterson could be shopped today. I'll try to find again.

just playing around with gapgeek and noticed that the Rangers have 3 players signed in 14-15 for 18,441,667. granted they have 4 RFA after next year they will probably also have signed. that same season the Flyers have 10 guys signed for 43,413,095 and G, Couturier and Schenn are all RFA's.

interesting times ahead

I think it is good, even though it gives them less time to sign him to a ELC

The CHL is a more highly competitive league than where he is at, so it's definitely going to give him a shot at better competition.

If he's 100% healthy he'd look good in O&B, but NYI aren't moving him with Visnovsky gone.

Apparantly not a good locker room guy....I read somewhere that he stepped on the Bruins logo on purpose in the lockeroom. Supposedly that considered a very very disrespectful thing....Dont want a guy like that.

He absolutely is...

UNLESS, you are are flush with young scoring talent up front and are limping along with average talent on Defense and your best players on the back end maybe in their final season or has already played it and is languishing on LTIR.

In that case you use that young talent to bolster the blue line.

Dunno.. in our offense first system I doubt you coukd have enough 30 goal guys... hes a heck of a defensive player too..

I get what youre saying though
