Ill answer your question with a question. If two trains leave Brownsville station, one heading for Odgenville and the other for North Haverbrook and are traveling at 100kph and 90kph respectively, which train will derail and kill all of the passengers first???

Isn't Husky a gas station? A type of dog?

And please don't go with "chunky" next. I'm not a soup.

Fat is fine, honest. It's actually fine because it's honest. See George Carlin.

I'd rather be called "fat" than "big boned". I always had a huge hatred for that term. Big boned? What am I, a dinosaur? Or Ron Jeremy?

How about robust?

I still don't like calling people that as i believe it carries a certain bit of an insult with it, unless the person is a d!ck then it's ok, so I wouldn't call you fat even if you carry a few extra pounds. see what I did there. I said you weren't a d!ck
Ill skip chunky then as it may start a serious debate over spoons and forks. How about pleasantly plump?

Doesn't "robust" mean that I won't break down in -40c weather? Or that I could eat a branch off a tree and survive?

Fat is only offensive when it's taken as an insult. It's not an insult; it's a description. We say people are "skinny" all the time, and no one gets mad at that. Why? Because culture tells us "skinny" is an okay but "fat" isn't. Unless, of course, you're too "skinny". Because someone is automatically bulemic or anorexic when they are too skinny, right?

People let their own biases get in the way. If people believe being fat is bad, they'll see the word as being offensive. I'm not trying to single you out, because most people see "fat" as an insulting word. I would rather someone call me fat rather than big boned, chunky, hefty, plump, etc because those words are patronizing. They are said by people attempting to sugar-coat something so they themselves feel better about it. Somehow pointing out to someone that they're big boned is less insulting than saying they're fat? Not remotely.

All of this being said, I'm in the minority here. Most people who are fat feel shame about it, and hence, they hate the word. I take no offense at it.

Ummm, while I don't know Hall, Ebs and Nuge personally, I'm fairly certain they weren't huge fans of the lockout. Keep in mind how unions work (and I know this because I run one and I've been a member of several)...The majority of employees have no involvement with their union. They want no part of it. They'll go along with union decisions, and will support what the employees who are involved want. But unions, to most people anyway, is an idea that is so 1930's. The reality that NHL players didn't go against their union isn't the same as the players actually all being jerks about money, the game of hockey, or the future of the league.

The Tinordi deal is awful, sorry to say. Nail Yakupov, while unproven, is a 1st overall pick. For the Habs to get him, it would be Subban, plus Tinordi, plus their 1st round pick in 2013. 1st overall picks are worth way more than people realize.

i know i wouldnt take it either. was seeing how low would you go. i dont think any of our prospect would fetch yaks cept gally and that would never happen.

as for what you said regarding players and unions. I agree, i m sure there was about 20 who didnt agree with the unions stance. My point is, and probably not conveyed well, that in your blogs i found you rather harsh in respect to the players. After all you know what its like to have an employee fight for what he.she believes they are worth.

The argument that you cheer for the logo not the player is silly. The players took alot of heat and in some regards deserved it. but at the end of the day, we cheer for them, and we put pressure on them to be their best, that imo deserves a bit more $$. silly as it sounds. I find it hypocritcal that we idolize a sport/player put them on a pedistal then spit on them when they want to get paid. trust me im so happy with the agreement, but the players had to stand their ground to get here. for that i applaud their resolve. i feel cheering for them is less 'fake' i hope now the league can rebalance the conferences maybe relocate a team or 2...

side note, would be a rad stanley cup final, habs edm. with short seasons, 2 speedy teams... would come down to GT

That was deep dude. That is exactly the reason I do not use that word to describe people, because in our society it is viewed as an insult. I have long since realized that being fat, or skinny does not always mean unhealthy, a fat person can be in great shape, as can a skinny person. I suppose other terms are thrown around in an attempt to patronize someone but not in this case. We are what we are and being comfortable with who you are is what is important. I myself am comfortable being a ginger and thus having no soul
So from now on Ill just call you big guy and you can take it however you like, be it fat guy, husky guy or even robust guy.
Also fat is a substance, part of life and surrounding every cell in our body. Using that word to describe someone as a state of being does carry a certain bit of an insult. Portly as was just stated is a better word.

I went a few years before curiosity finally got the better of me (after the family guy episode where Brian tapes Stewies raction to watching it) so I searched for it and watched it. Dude is right, gets seared into your brain. Now lets all try to forget that it ever happened.

Corey Perry> Oilers super kids. Dude won a hart trophy recently, keep overrating the oilers kids. Their good, but they aren't Crosby-Ovechkin-Malkin level. Not even close. They aren't even Perry, Giroux level. And won't ever be.
