If i were Lindy i think it would be smart to stick Foligno with Hodgson to start the season. They have been playing together since October in Rochester and seemed to have pretty good chemistry when I was at the Amerks game here at F'N Center.

It's Lindy Ruff. The lines will get switched up about 20 times per game. It's how he functions.

Is Bobby Ryan on the Sabres yet? - Rally_Shots
that would be a hell of a way to start a season after a grueling lockout, that's for sure. not like we don't have the pieces for it but it might cost us something like ennis, sekera, and a prospect at least (i would be okay with getting rid of ennis for ryan, after a lot of thought on the matter, and i really like ennis, i just want a stanley cup more.)

When your in the middle of a negotiation, you keep your mouth shut and worry about the task at hand. Not once did the NHL or owners bash the players. He acted like a 12 year old boy. Be a man and handle it like a man. His apology was just to save face. - Boston-Bruins
When your team is in the middle of the White House, you keep your mouth shut and worry about the task at hand. Not once did the NHL or owners bash the president. He acted like a 12 year old boy. Be a man and handle it like a man. His absense of apology was just to show he supported the first amendment.
The Fans need to take a stand and say a partial season is not acceptable but I doubt most will and the only real winners are the owners who get to recoup some of thier losses.I made my decission2 months ago and are standing by it.If we make it to the cup Ill see them on free tv.Good luck Sabres and thier fans.
He is a great goalie, I am just pissed with the players how they acted and spoke during the lockout, the insults, name calling and Miller was very involved on the players side. For me it is indicative of his leadership, he does not seem to be very strong of personality and other players don't seem to be inspired by him. Move him on from Buffalo and lets go in a different direction.

Miller, you alienated your fans and sponsors the moment you hired that (frank)ing obstructionist Donald Fehr, the biggest protagonist in sports. Even after a deal is struck, these players continue to insult the fans' intelligence. - buffalofan19
yup... that pretty much sums it up.
unfortunately the league hired the short man with the attitude to go with it about 20 years ago...
as for Miller's apology... it doesn't come across as very genuine. If he had said this 2 months ago... then maybe.... now he's just trying to engage in what is commonly known in the marketing world as 'damage control'.
the only ones really hurt by the lockout are the players at the lower end of the pay scale, the vastly overpaid guys who are likely to be bought out - and PRIMARILY those contingent restaurant and hospitality workers who outright lost jobs or hours. For the latter I feel sorry... for the rest - not so much.
