I still like your fellow Pittsburgh fan that called my Staal to Carolina trade stupid yet I was right on the money. - dadeadhead
I had many arguments about Staal being traded. In fact I was called stupid for suggesting he was going to be traded. For some reason people thought he did not wanna be a number 1 center and thought he would have been content with playing 3rd fiddle in Pitt.

Really though, there is something to be said for having a chance to win a Cup every season, even if you are third fiddle.

Ehhh... Staal already won a cup. I would say it would be different if he was mid 30's and wanted to win but this was his opportunity and im sure he was thankful Pitt allowed him that opportunity. He would have had to sign for less money most likely, I just think it was pretty obvious he was gonna be moved. If I was a Pitt fan I would have absolutely hated to see him get traded
