So with two buyouts it's really only a matter of time now before Pronger's days as a Flyer are over. Do we see a new Captain named this season?
- hereticpride

Yep, Pronger is done.. I hope he has a healthy retirement. I am leary of saying this, but I think this is Giroux's team. I don't want him to have the Captain's curse though..

Oh hell yes G. Miller is a great call. So is Hughson, but I don't live in Canada so I'm stuck with calls from teams in the States. The Flyers broadcast can get annoying to me as well. Coates is pretty rough around the edges and Jackson's Flyers goggles are sometimes a little too ridiculous. One of the worst voices in the league has to be the Caps color guy. Haha I forget his name but jesus what an annoying voice.
- Pixote Andolini

The caps guy is pretty bad, I always hate how he pronounced biron. Bee-ron.

Yeah F Center Ice package. I always hated the fact the Philadelphia feed is NEVER an option. Constantly getting the other teams nonHD feed. NICE!
- Pixote Andolini

that's comcast's fault, not centerice

Losing both Suter and Weber would have been a disaster for them. They had to do it.
- MJL

Funny how quickly we forget who said they had to match before they did.

I'll say it again.. I am reading the TSN comments of people beaking off saying I am never watching another game etc.. these are comments from either non fans or liars. I am angry about the lockout, but I love the game and this team so much that I was not going to stay away.

Nashville will not be a bad team this year. When you have a franchise goaltender and the best D man in the sport, those are solid building blocks. People expecting Nashville to be a terrible team are mistaken imo.
- PLindbergh31

Agreed. They will be very good, assuming they are healthy.

In fact, the best way to build a team is as you mentioned.

I never expected to bail on the game. I knew I'd be watching whenever the CBA got done, and I will eventually go back to buying tickets and merchandize. There's too much passion & love for the game and team not to

I am the same. The difference is the casual fans may be lost. Hardcores will be back.

It's the way we should be building IMO. Could you imagine our forward corps combined with Rinne and Weber ?

Why do you see the Habs so low? Also, the Leafs make it?? only if they get Bobby Lou. I think the Flyers will be fighting for 6-7-8 spot with the D we have. If Homer makes an upgrade move on D, we could be top 4.

Habs are really bad but good prospects on horizon..

Leafs will start strong and half season will help.

Leafs are like the Mets. They start off great usually.
