Those odds would be pretty high if we can't get a decent return in a trade by this summer.

I like Bryz. I'm glad he'll be able to redeem himself before and decisions are made on him. He wasn't the only goaltender that was garbage in that Pens/Flyers series. The problem though is, he doesn't have a Cup already.

If we can get Luongo for 4 mil over 2 years he's gone.

I think there's a lot of people who want him gone right now. I think he'll be solid and he should get 40 + starts to show it. Bigger issue is upgrading the D.

I think Lu would definitely get 5 mil per, maybe even more thrown at him in the open market. But he definitely wants to win so who knows, I could see him going to contender if he gets bought out this summer for something like 12-14 mil/3 years.

No question. Homer took a great shot at Weber and it sucks it didn't workout but now I'm just hoping Homer can workout and another bold move. I might even be the only fan on this message board that might be satisfied if we did pick up Bouwmeester.

You don't know how he feels . Also to be as successful in a sport like hockey as pronger was it takes a level of desire that I doubt many can fathom. People throw the word warrior around a lot these days and I don't think they understand it. Pronger is a warrior and if he can go, he will go.
- JoeRussomanno

I don't doubt he is a warrior, but at same point you have to be smart enough to say enough is enough. Once you get a concussion they get easier to get and they get more severe. If he was on a year and still had symptoms the next concussion he gets wouldn't be good. He is young and has a family.

Look I'd love it if he was back, but IMO he would be crazy to do it. With everything he has done in his career he doesn't have anything to prove.

Having something to prove has nothing to do with it. It's simply the love and passion for the game.

Briere hurt his wrist..Giroux apparently is fine after the neck injury. MA Bourdon is apparently not ready. Mesz I suspect is a ways away with the achilles. I have read that Jake is ok. I hadn't heard Fedotenko was hurt.

Last I read on Mezzy, he'll be ready for opening night. Don't expect him to be back to form though

Giroux is fine, Briere is also reportedly good to go. MAB is not ready & Gustafsson might be unavailable. Meszaros could be available, although not 100%. Voracek and Fedotenko should both be OK

Mez said on Friday he still isn't 100 percent but is getting there. He's still not definite to start the season on time.

Briere's wrist injury really isn't that big of a deal. He should be ready for opening night.

Fedotenko is fine. He had a day-to-day injury a couple months ago and has been back for a month-plus. In fact, he played today for Donbass (his final game).

Voracek is fine. Returned in November after the knee injury cost him a month.

I suspect that Bryzgalov's " upper-body injury" in Russia wasn't an injury of any significance.

Giroux is OK now. Actually played in the Crush Cancer exhibition game a couple weeks ago.

50-50. He needs to play well in the shortened season to stay, and even if he does, it might not be enough.

Yes, he had a lower-body injury around the time of the November tournament breaks but only missed a couple games.

Bill have you heard anything about the so called "Wade Redden Rule"? where the CBA prevents burying bad money in the AHL?
