Eric Macramala is an idiot. He's the TODAY Show's Star Jones "legal correspondant".

If the players voted yes, and he said no, that means he could of said yes if the players said no. Basically meaning a vote is totally useless.... Common Sense 101

Im pretty sure him being a lawyer doesnt mean we know more about legal matters. Just saying!

Put lube on before you go, won't be as painful on the way out.

I think you are supremely uneducated on the education levels of NHL players. Also, you do not have the required education level to appropriately educate us all on their educations levels.

In other words...you don't know poop!

- The-O-G

I think there are some players that are smart, but I Maxime Talbot and Bruno Gervais host their golf tournament at the golf club I play at. Twice I ended up playing with them in their practice rounds. I can honestly say they are not the brightest tool in the shed. I thought they were kidding when they were adding their scores, but eventually asked me if I could add it for them. They act like 12yo idiots, talk like 12yo idiots. They have absolutely zero respect for anyone other than themselves. They yelled at the snack lady on the 10th hole because she didn't recognize them and didn't want to give the beer for free. I ended up taking their tabs BOTH ROUNDS.

It's one of the major reason I can't stand the players in these times. They are greedy (frank)s who only think of themselves.

I might be wrong, but from what I heard, the original request fromthe PA was 2. The NHL wanted 0. The NHL said 1, and now are OK with 2.
- l3ig_l2ecl

and the PA is furious at the notion a GM might want to use them! because they needed something to be furious about today

One of his first columns

Disclaimer of Interest

While decertification is the players walking away from the Union, a disclaimer of interest is the Union walking away from the players. So a disclaimer of interest occurs when the Union terminates its right to represent the players. It's also a less formal process than decertification. It can be as quick as Donald Fehr sending a letter to the Commissioner's office declaring the NHLPA no longer represents the players as a bargaining agent. There's no vote, no petition and no decertification election.

Haha......that's a funny story, whether or not things were the way you say or not is another thing, also they were probably pretty boozed up, as I would be at a golf tourney. I know quite a few current and former players personally, some of them are nice, some are jerks, just like every other profession in the world. Way she goes Red, way she goes.

They might have been boozed up. It was 9am on a Thursday morning both times. They didn't look drunk at first, they were at the end.

The good thing about it all is I learned who Gervais was because I had no (frank)ing ideal before that......

The 2nd year I played with him I did ask him a bad question which he stopped talking to me for a few holes. I asked him how poopty it was to be an Islander...

was more like "criss, ca doit etre plat en tabarnac jouer pour la pire equipe en histoire de la LNH......etc"

No just as far as personalities are concerned. People in general really, some are nice, some are jerks. Big Red was generalizing about "Players these days", not really fair IMO.

pathetic is a great description as they all are. Last time thru (04-05) i got the salary cap need. i even understood the roll back on the salaries but this time thru? forget it. this is like watching paint dry.

You want limits on contract lengths? CONTROL yourself! The NHLPA did not negotiate ten year contracts for Parise and Suter, that was the GM.
You want to buy someone out because you have a terrible contract? DO SO! your GM negotiated the contract you dont want anymore.
Insuance a pensions? who needs that? why would a player want to be able to see a doctor because he will be uninsurable after he hits 45. the NHL sees what the NFL is going thru right now because they skirted the concussion issue too long.

yes pathetic is a great term

why havent the television stations started covering the AHL teams?

my original comment which you jumped on was in DIRECT response to the players education...

"The truth though is for at lease 200 players, a DoI means the loss of jobs. So there's no way they would have said yes if they are educated at all."

You obviously aren't paying attention. There's been plenty of information documented on the NHL's proposals to this point in the negotiations. Please get informed before making random "I might be wrong" statements. Derp
