Apparently talks broke down after Fehr accused the owners of not giving Robbie Earl enough ice time to prove he was a superstar worthy of making millions of dollars.

They were also hung up on what would be acceptable blood-alcohol levels for him to have to be able to take to the ice. NHL is saying 2x the driving limit but the NHLPA is pushing for 3x.

Can't see it. If you watch them play, Mac is ready for the NHL style of play. JD has to change his game some. The fancy moves will not work against NHL players, they play the body much more and will stall his style, or take him out.

If anything this tourny helped Barkov and Jones. Jones because he showed he was ready offensively and physically if a bit lost defensively at times to be an impact NHLer. Barkov at 17 lead the tournament (soon to be passed by only Trocheck) in face-offs taken and won 60% of them most in the defensive end while still showing a good tourny offensively from the third line.

Mac was screwed from the second they decided he would make a good 4th line center, he played more physical and showed he's not exactly that kind of dude with some misplayed hits and dumb moves. Drouin was given playing time with Strome and other top guys, he was good, though not miraculous (Still magic hands).

I think all of thise guys will do well. JD has great hamds. But, at the NHL level the d men take the body so much better than the Jr kids, he will have to use his speed more. Yes, Great hands. Will not be surprised to see him go top 3. Mac distributes the puck more. JD shots far more during the games, to me.
