I think he is talking about when the rumor went out about the NHLPA wanting future expansion and relocation fees to be part of the HRR. - markmark
yeah, again another example of the media spinning something out of nothing. |

On a separate (but relevant to the blog) note, if Toronto trades Kuli for any of the mentioned Oilers I'll lose my poop. - Pen15
the oilers dont have anything burke would want anyways.

Who said that?
You can't renegotiate something both agreed to months ago and both have been basing their negotiations/offers off of. That would just negate the last 3 months. - burn
Yes, actually, you can.
Until both sides agree to everything in full, there is an ebb and flow to these negotiations.
Until everything is signed, sealed and delivered, everything is on the table.
C'mon, Burn - you know this. |

Kulemin is probably the most (or second most) complete player on our roster. My guess is if he's traded, it'll be part of a bigger package to land a #1C |

personally i think EDM would be smart to risk moving one of their big forward names for a goalie and a D man, they could probley get a decent bottom 6 NHL player too.
not saying from leafs, but from any team.
eventually all those high end forwards are going to cost you a pretty penny. |

Look no further than the KHL to see what would happen.
The superstars would still come to the NHL. The next tier below would consider staying at home.
But with the leaps and bounds being made by US players (the base has never been bigger), I wouldn't worry too much about it. Instead of a Czech 3rd liner, you'd have a kid from Rimouski or Flin Flon or Minnesota or even Texas.
The Sundins and Lidstroms and Jagrs and Ovechkins would still come to the NHL. |
